Welcome to Richmond - Jayden Short

He's such a penetrating kick and it showed tonight. Weapon, wherever he plays.

At times l had underrated Shorty but week on week he gives us stability and a good attacking option. Nothing flashy just good footy

Yeah I've been a critic over the years but he's playing outstanding footy at the moment. Always felt he had the capability but that he turned it over too much for an outside player. Have barely noticed him miss a target by foot this year.

Got us out of trouble by taking distance. And showed poise as well, went head to head with Blicavs at stoppages and physically held his own. Going really well.

Over 700m gained. That’s 2020 grand final like performance. Massive.

Probably got 4 and 3 votes from coaches. May have got 5 and 2. Can't imagine who'd give him 5. ;D

Four and three I reckon. He's come back in as good nick as I've seen. The new boys help off set his weaknesses, he actually becomes a point of difference in terms of skill set. And maybe a target for Taranto in tight to release to and then take territory.

I thought 4 and 3 too, Scoop, but I hadn't had a close look then. Looks like 2 and 5 is the only option.

Short's improved each week since returning from injury. And bounced against Geelong. All our mids will get tougher assignments than the Cats Magoos midfield. But should get better service. Ceglar dominated for long periods of the match. Short tightened right up during this onslaught.

Esserdon will still be without Parish. Short will move up the order on the absence of Hopper. He can keep trending up.
