Welcome Sam Naismith

Every coach wants a player who "leaves it all out on the park."

Sam's entire career has been about leaving it all our there. And he did it in Tiger colours this year. Hope your body recovers, 4 knees is an absolute crime for 1 person.

A man who never has let life problems beat him and has followed his dream as an AFL footballer. Something many aspire to but never quite make it. Life and injury has been cruel to him but in his retirement speech you could see the real Sam and his commitment to life. Good luck to him and hope he has a great life and contentment post football. If anyone deserves it, he does

Happy retirement big fella!
Thank you for your efforts this year.
I was rapt to get him to the club, a footballer masquerading as a doofus ruck.
A pity we didnt get to see his capabilities, but a supreme effort to front up.
Thanks and stay a Tiger

Sam has had terrible misfortune on and off the field, it's a testament to Sam's character that he never gave up on his dream of being an AFL player.

Good luck with your future endeavours Sam, you deserve it.

Geez, so sad to see someone who had his career cruelled by so many injuries. Comes across as a really genuine person and clearly earned a lot of respect.

Such a pity he couldn't get on the ground more to show what he has.

Good luck to him, hope he sticks around in some capacity.

What a great speech, puts everything in perspective and a good slap in the face of reality. Good luck Sam.

You can't retire from something you never started :))

I'm a lucky man, went down to watch the ressies at PRE I think in 2021, saw the great man kick a Joe the Goose major from the goal square.

Absolute collector's item, I'll never forget that day
