Losing all our tall forwards to injury this year didn't help Cumbo's cause. When he did come in, he was on key position sized palyers like Redman and Scrimshaw. Bot of them destroyed him in the air, with Cumbo unable to even the contests and get the ball to ground. In reality, doing that was never his game. In his first year, his strength was as a foil, chipping in for marks whilst defenders worried about Lynch and JR, or mopping up off the ground and stepping through gaps that most wouldn't have been able to find.
The problem with Cumberland is that once things start going bad, the demons between his ears seem to take hold and the whole thing ends up a train wreck. I think if the right club wer to pick him up, he could ressurect his career.
