Welcome Judson Clarke

Exactly, I said the same to my daughter at the game, some people around grumbling about Juddy, but where else was he supposed to kick it to? He had just won a really good 1 on 1, loose ball bouncing to the boundary, literally the only place it could go was the pocket but Balta wanted him to punt it 70m into the middle. Strange, but just shows that he doesn't have the instincts and the forward smarts to lead where he needs to.
It is easily fixed.

"Hey, Noah. Lead at the ball carrier."
"The what?"
"Let's practice it."

*They practice it*

"Ah. Now I get it."

Playing forward is not quantum physics. Balta can do it.

It is compared to playing down back.

And Balta is not a scientist.

Never looks comfortable down forward.
No, it's not.

He kicked 8 goals in the first 3 rounds last season. After playing the first 2.5 quarters at full back. He can be a 50-goal forward.

I want sackings.
Where's our marking Talls ffs.
We draft the biggest toffee apples in the comp.
If people think drafting will restart our climb back to the top are delusional.
We need to use our picks om vic kids from WC and Freo and get them home.
Collingwood give away pick 78 and he stops lynch.
Collingwood get a bull from Port Melbourne and he is there full forward.
We need better recruiter's
LOL cool

We get a random that plays a blinder in his 1st game in a GF
We pick up a midget thats being talked about a future captain
another midget that wins our B & F in a premiership year
Our Captain in the PSD
pick #48 for a 3 time premiership Ruckman

Shall i continue ?

Now tell me with all the diamonds what has the Pies won ?

Obviously Dow and Clarke are different players playing different roles.

Dow is a slight inside mid extractor that can't consistently hit a target.
Clarke is a skinny outside running flanker that can kick but has zero physical presence.

We already have Ross in the side, a good VFL mid that can't consistently perform to the required AFL level, and thus is being forced to play in positions that suit him less.
Which exposes him and unbalances the side.

Dow will likely get his chance this year at some stage, because they need to give him one last chance - before he goes the way of RCD.

Clarke is a keeper for another year or two because he can run and can hit a target - but for a longer term career he desperately needs to bulk up and learn how to tackle.
Clarke = Aaron Fiora mark 11

I think people are being harsh on Clarke. I reckon judge him after 50 games. Has pace, disposal is good with confidence. Is he a tough head over the ball type probably not but I'm not prepared to write off a 19 year old who has played what 10 games or so. Hopefully a few people will have egg on their face in a couple of years. Our youth aren't out problem at the moment. It's our seasoned players and lack of leadership who are letting them down. Get behind the youth

It's a lot easier to play well in a side that's winning, need to keep playing Clarke, he's going to be a good player. Has pace and good foot skills, just what we need.

Got seriously burned by his teammates a few times today. Very young, very light, very talented. Probably not ready for the level, but given the age/size thing, amazing that he’s keeping the likes of Dow out of the team

Every game that he gets at this early stage in his career is development gold. Confident that he’ll be fine.

got beaten badly in the second quarter, then came back. inexperience, small seasoned body, will be good for these runs.

Bloody hope so, maybe a few pre-seasons will get him up to the level?
