Welcome Hugo Ralphsmith

Not sure many of our blokes would get a game for Hawthorn at present. Daniel, Shai, Balta, Tigga, Bakes... ummm...

Thought he was impressive today, at least with his devensive efforts, getting his hand in there at the right times and being in the right spots. Needs to keep working on his disposal.

Perhaps if a player or two could actually read the incoming ball instead of running under it at a 100mph. Raaalph's kicking wouldn't look so bad sometimes.
Reckon we might almost have been competitive today if about a dozen other blokes worked half as well as Raaalphy.

Tell me this is a joke.

It is, right?
Nah. Dead serious, blokes running flat out unopposed n ending up ten metres under an incoming long ball with no idea of the drop zone are just as much of a problem as blokes over kicking or spraying the ball wide.

Is starting to believe, has had to bide his time due to established players in Marlion and KMac, is starting to show the benefits of getting a regular game.
I reckon he will continue to improve next season, plays his 50th game against the Suns.

Hugo runs faster with the ball than without it. Needs to improve his defensive intent and his tackles are non effective. Improved, but needs to work on these things, along with kicking efficiency like a demon over preseason

Yeh, his defensive work is great, has improved immensely since his debut. Showing great courage at the contest.

If he can neaten his disposal we have a long term AFL footballer on our hands.

Has two core values going for him that we lack in our footballers, honesty and effort.

Is he going to make it longterm ? Not sure. But the improvement in him over the last 10 weeks has been significant enough to keep going with him.

He's having a crack and that's more than can be said of many of his more credentialled team mates.
Not the prettiest players or the most skilful but he's a goer and is trying to do the best he can in a struggling side.
Showing more grunt and leadership than some of his comrades.
Cold quite possibly surprise a few of us if he's got some contributors assisting him.
Happy to celebrate his 50th game this weekend. May he have beauty against the AFL's plastic team.
