As his proud president I'd like to point out what an important player Nathan Foley is for us. We're a far better team when he's out there.

24 possessions today at 100% disposal efficiency. 6 marks, 5 tackles, 5 clearances, 5 inside 50s and 3 assists, and a cool head under pressure.

Please injury gods give Nathan a chance to regain full fitness. The kids in our team will grow and develop much quicker if he is out there amongst them.

Eat 'am Alive Nathan.

100% agree. It was great to see him winning it out of the middle.

Well said and I totally agree.

Re: Welcome back Nathan

Thought Foley was sensational. Very close to our BOG as he too a lot of ball out of the centre and either roosted it deep into the forward line, or handballed to a free player running past.
We have missed him, and he will make a huge difference to the team if he plays every game just by taking the pressure of the likes of Cotchin and Martin.
Bravo Nathan.
Plus he wears his heart on his sleeve like no other at RFC.

Re: Welcome back Nathan

Agree that he made a huge difference - just the pace he has over a couple of metres opens the game up so much.

Re: Welcome back Nathan

he's arguably our best player he makes a diff alright, did against Freo too before he ran out of gas

Re: Welcome back Nathan

Agree - he was the most influencial Tiger out on the ground today. The way he extracts the ball and bursts out of packs is amazing. We don't have anyone else like him.

Re: Welcome back Nathan

spot on. was v good today.

adds much needed midfield depth & frees up the likes of cotchin, deledio etc. we're so much more effective when he's in there. hopefully cuz can make a comeback from next week as well

Re: Welcome back Nathan

Absolutley, got chills down my spine watching him burst from the centre bounce with the ball and put the afterburners on, was worried he may have lost some pace but doesn't seem to have.

Makes you realise how important he is to our midfield structure.

Re: Welcome back Nathan

Some knock his disposal, but it just goes to show how damaging his disposals are when he's injury free
Can't believe some want to trade him, he's only 24 and is a massive loss to our midfield when he's gone

Hope to see Cousins back in the side along side him next week to really add some midfield depth

Re: Welcome back Nathan

Great game from axle. We really have missed his ball winning ability.

I really like how we rotated him and Martin so we always had a good inside mid on the ball.

Re: Welcome back Nathan

His clearance work was exceptional & not once did he panic with the footy. Summed up his options very well.

Re: Welcome back Nathan

Forgot how pacy he was and as one of the experienced midfielders he really led the way today.
Hope he can string a few games together now.
Captaincy material next year I reckon.

A couple of photos of Nathan courtesy of nwonash. Will post more of other players later today.

Re: Welcome back Nathan

Foley is a gun. Has the time and decision making Tuck and McGuane could dream about.

Really liked our midfield on the weekend.

★★★ Foley: Gun ★★★

Take it and run son, just take it and run.
