Not as far as I am concerned. Why clubs would invest senior list spots on talent that hasn't followed the AFL pathway especially with early selections defies logic.

Even as impressed as I was with Waylen, I think 26 is too big a risk. I think somebody will give him a crack with a pick past about 50.Gus said:Not as far as I am concerned. Seems a reasonable possibility bullus, they also have a fair core of indigenous players at Carlscum to help make any transition a bit easier. Pick 44 in a shallow / compromised draft wouldn't seem much of a reach either. Having made finals the last few years you'd also think they might just try and pick to fill a couple of specific needs.bullus_hit said:Carlton are the ones I fancy, they desperately need a tall KPF and at pick 44 you'd think he would be worth a punt.

Baloo said:I don't think it will be ballsy at all. Thay have so many low picks that they can afford a pure X-factor (high risk high reward) pick early on.
bullus_hit said:They still have to fill the meat and potatoes positions and will probably need to grab 2 rucks. The eagerness with which GWS gobbled up early picks indicated they won't be reaching too far when it comes to speculative players. I may be wrong but I reckon they won't be taking too many risks when draft time arrives, I think it will be a similar story to what happened with GC.

He's got that combination of height and athleticism that players like Franklin use to get goals in multiple ways. (No, I'm not saying he's as good as Buddy).tigergollywog said:Can you give us a description of how he plays/gets his goals Hop?
hopper said:Plays in bursts too, which os proabably typical of a kids from the bush who is so raw but has such freakish tools. He kicked four in the 3rd quarter yesterday and broke the game open.
Yeah I had a look for that, bh. I think it's something that's been said to him because I did see a bit more defensive pressure and chasing. But I'd be lying if I said he wasn't still playing for offense first.bullus_hit said:How was the discipline Hopper, did he do the team things or was it a case of taking potshots whenever he got a sniff?
