Watching Ben Cousins

I'm very happy with the decision to draft Ben Cousins for several reasons. There's not much point praising the decision here though because you will be drowned out by the youth policy advocates.

I agreed with the decision to draft Cousins and I think he sohuld go on next year too.

As for the decision to draft/trade for Hislop and Thomson - :-[ ??? :(

Keep Cuz and make him Captain. He is a WINNER in every sense of the word, epitomised by his comment during the interview after the Freo win, and I quote:

"Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing".

What a superstar!

Amazing watching a true champion in the yellow an black,

CC that sums it up for me as well.

Its just a revelation watching the guy run around in our colours doing things just "better" than everyone else.

Cousins has the opportunity at RFC to have the most impact he can possibly have as a player with our young and inexperienced midfield playing group.

While he is obviously no longer at his peak, he is the best player to pull on a jumper for us since Geoff Raines.

You didn't play fonzie in happy days did you Tooheys?

Watched on tv. When ever I saw BC he was running his guts out with Jones on his tail. When I saw a number of oth er RFC so called 'elite' players they weren't pushing themselves. I can cop a quiet game from a guy going 100%, but when players appear to be going half capacity, it irks me. BC is an example of how to play the game, a few others could follow his example.

Why didnt our guys help out Benny ,step out and put the tagger on his arse when Ben runs past! St kilda did everything they could to try and break Jacksons tag on Montagna.

Because our guys are selfish. It's funny. In previous weeks Cuz has worked hard to help block taggers for Lids and Foley. Yet, for the first time, a hard tag goes to Cuz and he doesn't get anyone repaying the favour. Disgraceful attitude.

who is our midfield coach ???

Who is responsible to ensure team work between midfielders occur ???

When we got worked out after the 1st Qtr, what was our plan B to counter-strike the counter measures?

How we got smashed in the midfield should be a high priority this week to analyse and learn.

Who is our midfield coach indeed!! If Campbell gets the coach guernsey next season, I am not renewing my membership (unless they give the lady members another oven mitt to match the one I have).

They have talked about it quite a bit in the media though. Surely that was enough.

My good lady wife came along to the game yesterday as she got Access One tickets through work and thought it would at least be comfortable and a good view, not that she is all that interested in watching. Normally, she shows about as much interest in footy as she might in contracting a case of Swine Flu. What she has done this year is take a bit of interest in Ben Cousins, given all the hype.

At one stage during the game, I mutterd something under my breath along the lines of: "There we go, kicking it to one on five again."

She replied. "That's because that Richmond player kicked it to Cousins. He's been playing one on five all game."

Every one can see these things except our coaching staff, no matter who they are.

Why, why, why?????

I really hope Ben plays on for us next year, but when he eventually retires the club MUST employ him as an assistant coach in the fitness/conditioning area, or player development or whatever it's called nowadays.

He would build muscle on the youngsters, get them super fit, teach them the delights of gut running AND the "Win at all costs" mentality that nobody else at the club seems to have heard of ATM.

I thought Benny Boy worked hard as usual last night but struggled to keep up with Jones when the Saints moved the ball forward.
His legs have slowed though his footy brain is still in great shape.
Liked the look of his blocking efforts for our on ballers.

Speaking about watching Ben, he is a star and I want him as Captain next year but I hope some of our minders are watching him tonight.

Last game, back home, end of year drinks, old teammates, old influences, temptations?
Are we staying overnight or flying straight back?
I'll feel better if we are coming back straight after game and CUZ is the first one on the plane!

Go CUZ, enjoy yourself...but not too much!!! ;D

Maybe a touch off the "fast" pace, i agree. Benny has never been "quick" though, just smart.

There's some photos on the Herald Sun website of him training in Perth and he has his fingers taped up. Does anyone know what the problem is?
