Walls is spot on.

All the players 180cm and below 4 Port r all hard nuts, not the Pussies we have playing for us
Foley soft?
Cousins soft?
King may be small, but he's hardly soft either

In fact I'd say generally those under 180cm on our list are tougher than those around 180-183cm

Well then that blows Wall's theory out the window.

Can we look at haircuts now, maybe whether they shave their legs, or even whether they have the skill to play football?

You forgot IQ GPB, Mark Williams to Dusty Martin "Are you smart", what sort of crap question is that, glad Dusty told
Choco that he was indeed smart and from what I have seen of him on field I'd say he has proven it.

Walls is a complete goose at the best of times, I don't listen to anything he has to say, complete waste of time listening to
a person who came from "Carlscum"

Wonder how many of our 1980 GF team were 180cm or less?

Can't compare different eras, as players have been getting steadily taller through the years.

1920 premiership side - avg height 177.06cm (only four players above 180cm)
1921 177.33cm
1932 178.37cm
1934 178.63cm
1943 182.00cm
1967 184.85cm
1969 183.85cm
1973 185.10cm
1974 185.85cm
1980 184.90cm
2001 PF 187.41cm

In the 1980 Grand Final, the Tigers had 7 players out of 20 playing of 180cm or below. Bartlett, Wiley, Freame, Rowlings, Raines, Weightman and Welsh.

Comes back to the quality of the players, Bartlett, Rowlings, Raines, Wiley, Weightman, height has little to do with it, it would appear given that 35% of
the team were 180cm or less in height.

We have players in the 180cm or less range, they are young, they need proper development, give them that, then make an assessment in a couple of
years time. As for Walls, well as per normal he has no bloody idea.

Never a truer word spoken. One of the great things about football is that it accommodates players of all shapes and sizes, as long as they're good enough (albeit that is perhaps slightly less true these days).

Since 2000, the winning percentage of shorter teams almost exactly equals that of taller teams (less than 0.2% difference). Where the height difference is 1cm+, shorter teams have the edge 51%:49%. Where the difference is 2cm+, the shortarses have it 56%:44%. In fact statistics suggest that it is more likely a club will go into a match "too tall" in relation to the opposition rather than "too short".
