Umpire farce - Getting worse by the minute!

Ellis has been very stiff late in the third. Two handed push in the guts by his opponent when marking, then the holding the ball he didn't get. Maybe the umps think he is getting too much of it.

Weren't great today but they have been a hell of a lot worse. The inconsistency when it comes to illegal tackles drives you mad.
And another thing, the umpires positioning is all wrong. Eg. In the 3rd quarter there was a throw in on our half forward flank. One umpire was standing next to the boundary umpire who was throwing it in. Umpire 2 was in our forward pocket on the boundary line about 20m from goal. Umpire 3 was exactly on the line at CHB. Umpire 2 should have been on the fat side so they can get a combined 360 degree view of the stopage. There was a massive blind spot and would have missed any potential infringement

i bought one of those afl radios which has a channel so one can hear the umpires microphones..you can hear every word the umps say and many of the things the players nearby say to..its bloody awesome..i thoroughly recommend everyone buy one if they go to the game....i remember things like ..umpires talking to each other.." watch mckenzie on delideo..just watch him".." I've given up! they're completely incompetent and it doesn't looks like changing anytime soon.
There was a couple of real obvious jumper holds today which you could see from the stands, umpire in perfect position to see it, but....nothing. Surely they could get free eye tests from their sponsor :

Deledio's snap in the first term should have been a goal!
The video re the ball being touched, was entirely inconclusive (as usual).
If they insist on using this poor technology then it should be limited to scoring. i.e. whether it hits the post or not.
However my preference is to ditch it altogether. Waste of everyone's time and still controversial.

Just go back to humans being hopeless and get on with it.
