Trent Cotchin (Merged)

Selwood's been a top player and was a great captain well before Cotchin. Even the shrug thing is Selwood making the rules work for him; not his fault the likes of Hocking never saw fit to counter it with a rule change. It's only the actual diving that I detest, the going to ground to pinch a free kick. He's an otherwise admirable player.

Still, it must eat him that his finals record is 6-13 (Cotchin 10-5).
I've never understood why people regard flopping and diving as worse than Selwood throwing his head back.

They're both acts that turn minimal contact into a free kick through simulation. One is done by smalls, the other by KPP.

I find Selwood's closer to cheating because he creates the contact in the first place. At least the forwards and backs who flop forward don't drive their backs into opponents hands.

This reminds of the debates & arguments over who the best soccer player in the world is, Messi or Ronaldo. I'll always take Messi simple because the man doesn't dive, milk free kicks and always fights to stay on his feet. Ronaldo squeals like a pig when an opponent gets within 2ft of him.

6-13 is surprising. And Cotchin came back from 0-3.

Will be great to have the Skip back. We've witnessed first hand that Cotch & Prestia are just so important.

That said the back half of this season shapes as important for him in terms of his body.
He sure wouldn't want another hamstring injury.

Fingers crossed he holds together in our quest for another tilt at the flag.

Cotchin's leadership has been sorely missed as has Prestia's all round work. Having them back will give a masterclass lesson to RCD to further his development

I thought he was bloody brilliant. His intensity and hunger for the contest is unparalleled.

There’s only one way he knows.
Would run through a brick wall for the ball.
Superstar
Yep but they all rave about Duckwood. Please.

Our bloke doesn’t cheat and is a 3 time premiership captain of a team that was a total rabble when he was drafted. How many flags has Selwood captained? People need to look at their careers objectively and will see who has had the better career and more influence on his club.

How does he make so many tackles, gets in and under so much, yet that magnificent bouffant stays so perfectly structured ?

The Chimp is a Champ.

The prettiest battering ram since Shane Crawford.

Enjoyed seeing him and Sloane try and fairly kill each other then laugh about it after the game.

Bulls being bulls, strictly business.

What can you say about our captain that hasn't already been said.

Hmm...

He’s as courageous as a man running across Ethiopia carrying a bucket of beef?

Attacks the contest like a UCLA student protestor‘s verbal attacks to defend campus safe space?

There aren’t many descriptives left!
