Trent Cotchin (Merged)

What was most striking about Cotch's game last Thursday was his sheer intensity at the contest. Really was a finals like tune up.
He was sending a message to the Weagles midfield.
The Supercoach nuffies at other clubs who bag him have no idea what he brings to our club. He plays such a sacrificial role & whilst he may not always win the ball, he always influences the contest & gets it going our way.
It's been said many times but the man is a contested brute who's built for finals footy, where legend is forged.
So long as his hammy holds together, we'll be unstoppable again in the form he's in.

Listening to Roughy on the radio , what a legend . Made me think in the famous 2004 draft if we had have landed him an Lance we most likely would not have got the Skip and Dusty , what a time to be a Tiger

Id love to interview Trent Cotchin mum.

I'd ask her how he crawled as a 1 year old.

I bet she'd answer something like;

'really fast, in straight lines, anywhere. He'd go straight over the top of stuff. and straight under stuff. He was like a little monster truck crossed with a really quick echidna'

I honestly believe he is the most influential player in the competition this year.

hes done it in pretty much every game hes played.

im pretty sure if you adjusted the PRE footballer of the year for games played, he'd have twice the votes as 2nd.

If you are short on time and wish to quickly gauge whether theres any upside for you in talking to someone about footy or not, simply open with

'who would you have in your side, two Lachy Neales or one Trent Cotchin?'

Most important player .
When he sets the tone it’s not hard for the other ‘chimps’ to follow him.

This week's Special
Dangerfield going into packs head first and doing the 1% ers.
Pity Cotchin has been doing the same over the last 3 years.
Pity they don't highlight that

To this day I swear it's the best nickname ever to grace Punt Road End..

We need a nickname that encourages crowd interaction...

There is Kreuzer who gets Kreuzeeee

Peter Bell gets the bell rung when he gets a touch.

What about Trent 'Chimp Kazoo' Cotchin, when he gets a kick or handball, the fans all blow a kazoo then shriek like a chimpanzee. Imagine doing that 30-35 times a game. :spin

Can’t wait to meet Brisvegas ( please fingers crossed ) in the finals.
You just know he will be lined up somewhere in the game.
Would be ‘ironic’ if it were Lynch sending him a goodbye note ( um hit ) legit into next week.

As a kid I reckon he was the king of the piñata at birthday parties.

have I done Wayne a gross disservice?

I dont think there's any doubt its the greatest.
