That effort in the last Ninja was truly team lifting and inspirational.

Led to ( I think ) the start of our goals?

The efforts to win clearances early in that last term certainly were telling when the game was up for grabs. They can have Selwood, I wouldn't swap our captain for anyone.

I would swap him for 2017 captain of the year, Captain Power Ranger ;) How is going now by the way?

Selwood was huge on Sunday, but Cotchin's last QTR was unbelievable.
He was the one that started the play that lead to Rioli's goal, with 2 contests in Geelong forward line.
He pushes Menogla aside like he was 10 year old. 5.45 left in the last qtr

I love the role he is playing. No fuss, no nonsense, nothing flashy, he just does what is needed when the situation demands it.

Just like the Dude, the Cotch abides.

Quietish first 3 quarters from the skipper tonight, but really stepped up when we needed him in the last. Putting together a fine, consistent season

I thought he was BOG, if you take out Reiwoldt.

Played like it was a prelim. :clap

Great game from the Captain. I'm wondering whether he had a jab in the leg to free him up so much. I hope he's not gonna be carrying anything after this war of attrition game.

Great captains game. You dont take 4 points in game like that without a bloke like him buttering up time and time again when the crunch moments come!

A lot of sporting clubs have a pecking order and the younger players don't speak up in front of the stars. Cotching has helped drive that culture where a 10-gamer addresses the team and everybody listens. Doesn't hurt that Higgins has the ability to crack everyone up as well.

Best Captain and leader going around by a country mile. Has placed a stamp on the RFC that will continue for years.

I hope the best Captain in the AFL knee has pulled up ok, what an inspirational leader he is. Will go very close to winning a Brownlow Medal.
