I used to be a player sponsor before I got married and one year I sponsored Cotchin and another Dusty. I was sitting at a table during a dinner and Cotchin had said he'd turned down GWS because his dream was to hear the Tiger roar when the Premiership Cup was lifted. Well Trent, not only did you hear that roar but you were the one lifting the cup.

I was at a FTF event one year before Cotch was Captain and had the chance to shake his hand speak to him and I told him I had an image in my head of him lifting the cup one day as our skipper. He just smiled that Cotchy smile and said I hope so.The_General said:

Awesome player who put his body on the line for the team. Won't get many more years out of Trent his body will be stuffed. He deserves every accolade.
