Roos & Lyon are a bit further down in the 120's. ;)

Can’t even be good at being bad.

Lyon would be coming close to longest serving coach without a flag wouldn’t he?

I used to be a player sponsor before I got married and one year I sponsored Cotchin and another Dusty. I was sitting at a table during a dinner and Cotchin had said he'd turned down GWS because his dream was to hear the Tiger roar when the Premiership Cup was lifted. Well Trent, not only did you hear that roar but you were the one lifting the cup.
I hope it bought you as much joy as it did us.

Notes on the hand during speech was a little strange, he's normally excellent at speaking.

Probably had 100 people in his ear before heading up there.

Ever tried giving a speech with a rotten hangover? ;D

He actually had the notes on a piece of paper, in his hand. Pulled it out of his shorts before her went up on stage. Was probably nervous he would forget to mention someone in his speech.

Words can't describe my admiration for the skipper. Absolutely brilliant finals series, and now a tiger premiership captain. Tiger immortality at its best.

Carrying an injured Daniel Rioli on his shoulders for the lap of honour spoke volumes about his leadership.

His best season since 2012 from a playing perspective.
Ball movement was much better than the past few years, largely due to a poor gameplan.
Kicked goals when needed. 17.8 for the year one of the most accurate in the team.
Averaged 5.6 tackles a game. Career high.
Every week he did his usual blue collar work. Absolutely crunching into packs and leading the way for his team mates, with a sheer bloody mindedness to win.

As someone else said he's now a Brownlow winner & Richmond Premiership captain.
Doesn't get any better than that.

I was at a FTF event one year before Cotch was Captain and had the chance to shake his hand speak to him and I told him I had an image in my head of him lifting the cup one day as our skipper. He just smiled that Cotchy smile and said I hope so.
Saturday was the day that image became reality. Great season and great finals campaign by Cotch.

I kept yelling out in the second half, it's your destiny son, it's your destiny.

If anyone didn't hear his speak and the coach , have a listen.

Both spoke with humour , humility, respectfully and of admiration of the group of players under them.

Of all of them.

Both past & present.

Brilliant.

Awesome player who put his body on the line for the team. Won't get many more years out of Trent his body will be stuffed. He deserves every accolade.

Yes this is my fear as well, but he has a premiership so its worth it.
