Training For Redemption in 2022

Here's a bit of goss.

Noah's brother Patrick is training with our VFL side.

Spoiler alert: He's the tallest one in the photo.

That's all I have for now but I'll share more as it comes to hand - you'll see my track record when it comes to the Croatian boys.
Can we get him as a Cat B rookie if he shows some promise?

ROK , when’s mate back, I was quite surprised to hear how bullish Blair was about his prospects

Basketball could still be an option for Mate` couldn't it? hopefully he doesn't get offered decent money anywhere to play or we may not see him at all.
I think that ship has sailed from the recent discussions I've had.

His mind is firmly at Tigerland.

Just on Mate, he’s not your athletic basketball big. He’s your Mumford athlete, at best.

Trying to hang on to Abbey Gelmi.
Maybe you should be sending Abbey a pic of your nudie walk across the Nullabor. See if you could tempt her away.

Did you manage to complete the walk yet? Summer's not too far away n I'd hate you to risk a sun burn.

Air fryer. Some marketing guru is winning an award for solving the problem of How Do We Sell More Ovens.
Does fried air taste any good?
I've heard there's stuff all cholesterol n calories in it, but I'm not sure of the flavour or whether it's a lot like eating Chinese n you're hungry again half an hour later.

Cheers Caesar, much appreciated as always!.

Is Riley the big bull inside mid everyones so desperate to draft :)
There has been a consistent message from the club that he was always going to take time and maybe Covid has made that even longer.
I recall one game last year (maybe GWS?) where he was killing it in the clearances, especially from the middle. Hopefully we see more of it going forward

Yeah, he has definitely shown he has the tools. He seems to start with a rush and then fade out of games. Plays limited minutes as well.

Needs to keep working.

I would bet my bottom dollar he can jump higher than mummy and run faster and combined with the added height 213cm
im happy with that. More agile Aaron Sandilands is what im thinking

You mean the game at the dump. Yes I also remember him being great through the middle. Also kicked 2 goals that game.

Yes I was being a tad sarcastic, as others have said you don’t draft to win premierships the following year, ito 3-5 years away, Riley was always going to take time due to his lack of endurance.

He would qualify as a Cat B rookie wouldn’t he?

When I google Patrick couldn't find much about him only that he led the Yellow Card register out of about 50 clubs with 5 :) .

Must have some white line fever, better suited to AFL ;)

Appears Patrik played with Airport West this year:

Small write up about him in this article from 2020: https://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader...s/news-story/9b9b62a4ca9cd8a53f7d468f763e1c69

Ruckman Patrick Balta, who is the cousin of Richmond’s Noah, has also impressed on the training track after a break from football. Balta was an Essendon Doutta Stars junior and has since played soccer for St Albans.

“He’s showing signs that he’s going to be an excellent senior footballer and has a bright future ahead of him, whether it be at Airport West or higher,” House said.

“I think he’s got something to offer the game.”

Noah has come on board as a specialist assistant coach and will also be involved in game-day strategy and junior development.

Another quote from this year: https://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader...s/news-story/52d0876bd0b302874c50c994818cff1b

Rogers said ruckman Balta, who is the cousin of Richmond’s Noah, was progressing rapidly and would be a “scary footballer in the next 12-24 months”.
