Training for DRAFT PICKS!!!!

Marlion won't miss selection. They were trying him in a bit of a different role on Friday plus, you have to remember he missed a couple of weeks by going back to Perth so he might need a few more k's in the legs. Be surprised if he was left out.

Im surprised you didnt ask for McIntosh to be dropped for Pickett
And no-one could ever accuse you of getting up to speed with changes, TdT! No, same old, same old.
If you actually bothered to check my posts, like on Game day threads, you would have noticed that I revised my opinion on KMac and credited him with improving his game, especially his kicking and marking skills - probably from about 2 years ago or more. He's always been hard running which is his greatest attribute but I was critical of what I saw as him being a relatively low-possession player, poor mark for his size and unreliable kick.

So, to repeat myself and make it perfectly clear, I really value him now and have said so in several posts since 2017/18. You just haven't bothered to pay attention, living in your bubble from bygone years.
What's more, I will even say that another feature of his game now that I love is how, when he gets anywhere near range, he goes directly for a goal if the opportunity arises. I love how he doesn't stuff around with another handball or risky short pass. Instead, it's get out of my way and ... he goes bang. He did in the GF and again in the praccy game against the Pies.

I'm really irked by how many attacking opportunities we waste with over-possessing and wanting to give it off to a guy running in to the goal-square rather than just take a decent shot when well inside 50. KMac is showing plenty of our guys how to go about it. He's even improved his LF kicking.

Ever heard that old saying about sarcasm? But if you want to stay in a time warp, fine. Just don't rant on irrelevantly forever.

Hey, maybe you could even respond to what my post was actually about - which is Marlion Pickett.

Basically
Out: Houli Pickett
In : Caddy Aarts

Looking like a thrashing coming up for Carltoon round 1
Sure, when they see our selected team on paper, they'll realise there's no point even turning up at the G, simple as that.

(Over-confidence is the first step to decline).

All this is true so will be interesting but Caddy has certainly stepped up and taken advantage of the situation.

He has. Might be touch and go. For sure. But different players and different roles. Are Rioli and Lambo absolute certainties ? Even Bolton. Just so-so in the two practice games.

Didn't you read my first post I said i weren't going to debate the team this week ;) :)

If you ever want to be welcome on Caesars personal training thread again Redford, you’d be wise to recant your recent comment about Bolton and offer Caesar a personal apology for your insolence.

Wake up to yourself Caesar Salad. Only reason you go to training is so you can go to the London afterwards anyway.

Bolton can wake up too and kick 5 and garner 32+ possessions this week otherwise I have him in my sights. Poor man's Blurton right now.

Not happy with Pickett being overlooked. He and KMac owned the wings last year and imo would go to another level this year on the wide MCG wings.

We now have such depth that this debate will continue all year unless we get a string of injuries - even with Houli out we can't fit all our top liners into our best 22 at the moment.

Nice position to be in but now the boys need to bring the intensity on Thursday evening.

Can't afford any complacency in Cartoon's annual GF.

II would love it if we could pull off what no team has ever done before in the history of the League, and that's play the same 22 players that won a premiership together. It seems such a simple thing yet has never been done.

We need Houli back before we can think of achieving that

I think the only question mark selection wise is the Caddy or Marlion issue.
Perhaps the one that misses will be named “concussion substitute”, subject to AFL decision today.

Red you have obviously been on a long holiday!
Bolton is hot jam. Not to be mentioned in this conversation.

Surely they both play ahead of Aarts.

He's right though. Bolton was the least impressive across the two praccie games. Let's hope he's got the switch for when the real stuff starts.

So did mine, and like you I used to stand on the cans to get a better view.
Friend of mine had a portable platform his dad made him from 6 large cans nailed to plywood rectangles top and bottom........used it for years, perfect for standing room. Painted in club colours. Not often that empty cans were brought to a game.

When I was young, we were so poor that the only time I ever tasted hot food was when a rich man farted.
I would have killed for some empty cans and a piece of wood

Well im so glad you have come to the realisation of just how wrong you were in ' Demanding' he was dropped and not fit to play for the RFC . I went back to re read some of the earlier posts on the Kamdyn thread and you were really on a witch hunt.

Luckily the team and coaches were in the same thinking as most of us and not as wrong as you were otherwise we would not have Kamdyn playing for Richmond.

But its good to see you acknowledge your profound misjudgement of Kamdyn McIntosh
