Thanks Bob, a pleasure to do so.Hi Caesar,
I just want to say thank you, for all your ongoing Reports. It's so great to read these - and I reckon, like many others here, when I login, its the first thread / post I look out for.
Thank you for your ongoing efforts and work to write these posts, so we can all enjoy them. Really selfless of you. Cheers.
The hub will be in Victoria. Please no, Covid case in QLD, now Covid case in NSW for f#%# sake.
I just hope we're over the pedantics of this case....anyway, if any games have to be suspended, get ready for Tuesday and Wednesday night footy again. Please no, Covid case in QLD, now Covid case in NSW for f#%# sake.
I have this feeling that even without injuries we will play a number of kids to a) give them experience and b) give some vetrans like Cotch and Shedda some multiple weeks off. we know from last year our older guys can have weeks off but come straight back in and play well straight up.Sounds like we're firing on all cylinders. How do we pace ourselves for the season and not repeat 2018?

Yeah I think its going to be a bank some early wins strategy, then manage a few of the older guys through the middle of the year (around the byes too) and then have those older guys firing on all cylinders coming into the latter half of the season and then be primed for finals.
What has Marlion done to get overlooked Caesar? I think he should be a lock myselfTraining today and it is all good news:
Shedda and Cotch back out there.
Basher: Has turned the corner huge workload in rehab today, some sprint work pretty close to full pace maybe 80% probably put in about 10 laps of hard running as well, wouldn't be surprised if he rejoins the main group for some drills in a weeks time?
Cumberland: Was put through hell today by grappling coach, a lot of change of direction and exhaustive running, on target to play some footy by May, has not yet joined the main group but may be only a couple of weeks away from joining non contact drills?
Putting in the extra work:
When the best player in the comp puts in extra laps when training is virtually done you know you're in great place, Dusty 100% the fittest he has been going into a season.
No surprise to see Graham and Lambo being the last one's on the track, heart and soul guys who put maximum effort to get absolute best out of themselves.
Funny there were a few knocks on Graham's kicking when drafted, and is now close to our best hit up kicker streaming out of the centre, we saw it last year and he may only get better with the amount of work he is putting in, the last 15 minutes of extras today he was doing just that.
Cross fingers, cross toes our list is healthy and in fantastic shape:
One main training session remains to get through unscathed, (should be Tuesday 9:30am).
I am not even going to worry about debating team this week as with everything I've seen I believe team is set even though there are so many players knocking on the door.
Short Balta Grimes
Tigga Astbury Bakes
Caddy Prestia Kmac
Castagna Dusty Shai
Rioli Lynch Riewoldt
Followers: Nank Cotch Edwards
I/C: Graham, Broad, Aarts, Lambo
**The thing that can be debated is starting positions as the beauty is the likes of Shai, Lambo, Shedda, Dusty are equally as good rotating between the mid and forward, (we should be and are so f#%#%#% dangerous ).
Who needs a selection committee when you have Caesar? How close are the likes of RCD, Ross, Hugo, & Will Martyn to getting a game?
I tend to agree, he also plays a different position to Aarts. I'd imagine Picket will be in with Houli being the one that could push him out as Pickett has been in this same role as houli plays. What has Marlion done to get overlooked Caesar? I think he should be a lock myself
I'm with you. Just can't see what Marlion has done wrong to miss selection. Last year, finals, good game in the GF. Strong form in the lead-up games this year. His only weakness IMO is missing targets at times, turning it over. But hardly the only one who does that ... at times. What has Marlion done to get overlooked Caesar? Im surprised you didnt ask for McIntosh to be dropped for PickettI'm with you. Just can't see what Marlion has done wrong to miss selection. Last year, finals, good game in the GF. Anyway, there is another possibility. I like Caddy too but prefer him forward for his strong contested marking and straight kicking. So Cadds goes forward, Marlion on the wing and, unfortunately, Aarts misses.
We still have DRioli, Castagna and Shai creating havoc as SFs. Marlion is a better and faster endurance runner than Caddy, who does not have the body-type for a modern, long-tern endurance running wingman. And, in fact, his body has broken down with hamstring strains over the last few years when expected to play such an ongoing role.
Aarts will get his chances before too long too.
I agree. He is more a natural wing/midfielder than Caddy and has done nothing wrong. What has Marlion done to get overlooked Caesar? I think he should be a lock myself
