Training For 2023

I just found out recently that Grimace is supposedly a taste bud... Some useless info for you :)
I thought he was a pancreatic BETA islet cell under extreme duress producing insulin to help deal with the results!

I am not sure how accurate the distance of the clubs 2km time trial was. Steely Green ran 6.17 at the draft camp and he wasn't anywhere near Taranto on Monday who won in 6.14.

Grimace is a large, purple being of indeterminate species

What species Grimace is has been debated amongst fans for many decades.
While the McDonald's Corporation twitter account stated "Grimace is the embodiment of a milkshake,"
according to Brian Bates, the manager of a McDonald's franchise in Windsor, Canada "He is an enormous taste bud, but a taste bud nonetheless."
This was stated in a CBC News interview discussing how the 2020-2022 pandemic affected McDonalds business owners.

However, in 1994, then-McDonald's spokesperson Jane Hulbert had an entirely different explanation. "Grimace personifies the child in everyone. He is Ronald [McDonald]'s special pal"

Summer training:rolleyes:, 10 degrees felt like 6 degrees, rain coming in sideways, visibility poor and the ball a cake of soap, spent the whole session dodging the rain, (very unpleasant:mad:).

Absent or rehab today:

Pickett: (Hasn't been spotted by me at least since the boys have returned so i am hoping it just a case of club allowing him more time in WA with his family seeing he has supposedly been working hard over there in the break? All speculation on my part i have no idea why he is not here).
Shai & Tarranto.
Tom Lynch & Colina
only made a brief appearance and then there is Jack Graham who in injury update it mentions he has had toe surgery so walked a couple of laps but we won't see him till January and then probably only some running.
Nank was in rehab but he has been back working hard from day 1 with 1-4 year players so doubt there is an issue there.

The Good News :

Sonz & Banks, (who had some hip surgery in off season), are back in pretty much full training and both topped off their session with some commited lap running. Just on Sonz, i was suprised in the first lot of shuttles which included all comers, (bar the big men who did their own), he came 2nd to KMaco_O, Narkle came last and really not sure why we have him as a train on?
Tylar Young & Seth Cambell were best of the new arrivals Young impressive again and Seth very clean in wet & slippery conditions and spotting up forward targets.
DRioli : Loved the way he finished his session solo with repeated up and back 50 metre shuttles to exhaustion. It is strange that in shuttles he finishes at the back of the pack but on game day he seems an aerobic beast, expect to see more of the same from him in 2023:)

Star of the session:

Probably Cumber's, just a constant presence and was pinging goals from everywhere with that awkward kicking action of his, although early in the session i thought Miller may have done him some damage in ground ball work. This drill is where a couple of players had the impact bags and banging players as they gather and give off ground balls, Cumberland slipped and Miller, (i think in fun), smashed the bag into his head 3 times whilst he was down. Noah got up holding his head, working his neck and walked away from the drill briefly to a medic but then resumed. For a tough guy he does seem to exaggerate the extent of what seem to be injuries only to miraculously return. The thing is Miller saw that he was hurt? but didn't even give him a second thought or check on his health afterwards, hopefully that means Miller is finding some mongrel:) to go with his skills.

The Old Firm:

Prestia & Tarrant looking in tip top shape.

Cotch JR8 & Vlaustin showed they were not immune from hard work and completed session with 4 x full ground runs just the three of them.

Cheers all, still thawing out at home.

Well done Julius as always.

I just got back from the City myself. As I usually just wear a t-shirt and shorts, I decided to wear a jumper and trackies due to today's cold weather, carrying an old heavy computer and a new less-heavier one up and down the city streets where all of a sudden I started sweating bad. Drove back home with windows open to cool down and now it's freezing again. Schizobourne is where we live.

Thanks for the commitment! Loving that Sonz is adding a good fitness base to his skills and footy nous. Wondering why we are bothering with Narkle? Maybe if Graham had've left it would make more sense? Hoping Bradtke is up to it, otherwise would rather keep the spot free for the MSD

Yes, not the conditions for Bradtke, still moves well and skills pretty good, I will be keeping a bit of an eye on competitiveness and contested as a reason why he maybe hasn't made it yet or overlooked after be on the Swans VFL list who are usually pretty good judges of talent but hopefully a late bloomer that they got wrong.

Gents,
I wish I had good news about Dusty.
But I don’t.
Still very much struggling. Not sure this is going to be the dramatic comeback we were hoping for

I reckon they have his position sorted depth wise, so maybe that’s why they didn’t draft him? Hoping that’s the reason and we could potentially pick up a gem
