Training For 2023

Tarrant chat is off topic for this thread but let's not forget he played a fair few games with a busted hand.

We play a unique style, takes some time to get used to.

Keep that in mind for Hopper and Taranto.

We all agreed they needed a Norm Smith medal by April. Plus the club needs to be premiers too before the bye weekend.
Otherwise the trades were duds and we should sack Blair.
No shifting the Goalposts now

Wasn’t from a very good lead Mate, it was an unbelievably soft free kick. I was livid at the time and remember it well. He just outpositioned the dud and used superior strength but got a free against

There was definitely a goal from a lead. Mckay in the 3rd quarter I think, they were kicking to the PRE which ever quarter it was in.

Major injury for Max King at training, requiring a shoulder reconstruction.
Saints' so-called spearhead.
Confident that our fitness, conditioning and training staff are more prudent in practice.
Max is contracted until end of 2026, Ben up the Coast is contracted until the end of 2024.

The injury record for both of the King boys is certainly a concern.
Is it possible the young talls are still growing into their bodies? We're placing too much effort on them to develop early today because of the draft, the expectations and then there's another draft the next year and the next year if you fail to step up another kid could get drafted?

Max Gawn was a slow burn, he was three months shy of 25 before he played a full season.

I've thought about a few talls and get the same results. Lynch was in 3rd year at GC, posterior ligament. Sam Day played about 7 games first year. Steven May until the 3rd season didn't get going. The King's just finished season 3.

And then I don't have to say anything about Richo  3rd season nine games in, freaking Sydney :notworthy:

Dead right...saints have a slight history of doing this to their talls...kossi anyone! Melbourne...Pies...
Big young kids need to be nurtured if you want to get value out of them not debilitating injuries!

Dimma flew over to the US to personally thank Griffens for retiring and making him the 2nd best coach we have ever had.
