Summer training
, 10 degrees felt like 6 degrees, rain coming in sideways, visibility poor and the ball a cake of soap, spent the whole session dodging the rain, (very unpleasant
).

Absent or rehab today:
Pickett: (Hasn't been spotted by me at least since the boys have returned so i am hoping it just a case of club allowing him more time in WA with his family seeing he has supposedly been working hard over there in the break? All speculation on my part i have no idea why he is not here).
Shai & Tarranto.
Tom Lynch & Colina only made a brief appearance and then there is
Jack Graham who in injury update it mentions he has had toe surgery so walked a couple of laps but we won't see him till January and then probably only some running.
Nank was in rehab but he has been back working hard from day 1 with 1-4 year players so doubt there is an issue there.
The Good News :
Sonz & Banks, (who had some hip surgery in off season), are back in pretty much full training and both topped off their session with some commited lap running. Just on Sonz, i was suprised in the first lot of shuttles which included all comers, (bar the big men who did their own), he came 2nd to KMac, Narkle came last and really not sure why we have him as a train on?
Tylar Young & Seth Cambell were best of the new arrivals Young impressive again and Seth very clean in wet & slippery conditions and spotting up forward targets.
DRioli : Loved the way he finished his session solo with repeated up and back 50 metre shuttles to exhaustion. It is strange that in shuttles he finishes at the back of the back of the pack but on game day he seems an aerobic machine, expect to see more of the from him in 2023
Star of the session:
Probably Cumber's, just a constant presence and was pinging goals from everywhere with that awkward kicking action of his, although early in the session i thought Miller may have done him some damage in ground ball work. This drill is where a couple of players had the impact bags and banging players as they gather and give off ground balls, Cumberland slipped and Miller, (i think in fun), smashed the bag into his head 3 times whilst he was down. Noah came up holding his head, working his neck and walked away from the drill briefly to a medic but then resumed. For a tough guy he does seem to exaggerate the extent of what seem to be injuries only to miraculously return. The thing is Miller saw that he was hurt? but didn't even give him a second thought or check on his health afterwards, hopefully that means Miller is finding some mongrel to go with his skills.
The Old Firm:
Prestia & Tarrant looking in tip top shape.
Cotch JR8 & Vlaustin showed they were not immune from hard work and completed session with 4 x full ground runs just the three of them.
Cheers all, still thawing out at home.
