Trade talk 2019/20

Higgins was great in his debut year, but became hesitant (maybe due to the injury) and was a momentum stopper.

Can find the ball though, good mark for his size and smart.

I'll add to kicking wasn't great to and skills.

If Higlet goes it ends up being 5 players out (Higgins, Rance, Turner, Markov, English) equalling 39 players left on the list. In: Colina & potentially father son M.Rioli & or NGA Baxter. With 40 on the current list this means no more than another 4 (44 is the list max including category A & B rookies) can be recruited which presumably will be via the draft.

Should Junior be drafted as a father/son this leaves 3 spots available on the list.
Not sure whether Colina comes on the list next year or 2022.

I think ultimately it was his lack of defensive pressure that saw him make way for Aarts and others.

Reckon it really needs to be weighed up against the trade period and draft in its entirety. Do we still try to get further up the draft order and who do we end up with our first pick. I suspect we are reaching for a tall that might just be below the "Gold Class" in this draft
I agree I think we will move up the draft.

If the reports are true dogs will get treloar for 5 years at 600 a year (pies pay 300 a year)

Then dogs have done exceptionally well.

They get a very good player on good player money and pies play a man down in a cap sense for 5 years. 5 years!

Well done doggies

I cant see Pies being competitive for 20 years with the grundy/cox/degoey/treloar debacle.

I reckon grundy is spent; the most promising of their youth punted himself to north; and their remaining father-son youth is way overrated.
What makes it even better my man is that Treloar is easily in their best 6 players, and is being punted for salary not his lack of impact.

Throw in losing Stephenson also another top 8 player for them and they are going to hurt on field from losing these two blokes.

They've kept Cox and lost 2 key runners who are also very handy goal kickers, and 2 blokes who have played well for them against us in recent seasons.

Great result them losing two of their top level players for no real reason ha ha ha.

Grundy, Jordy, Moore, Pendles Adams, Roughead, Sidearse, Howe and Crisp, they dont really have much left, yet have no room in their salary cap.

Clubs will take minimal picks this year. List reductions plus too many unknowns. Means next year will be stacked. Plenty of goodies will be found in the second round.

Yeah gotta feel for this year's crop.

Oh well might harden them up and finally end the recent influx of Kleenex pups.

I thought Paddy McCarting resurrecting at the Sydaknees was almost a fait acomplis
Think there may be some other clubs who have enquired about Patty and or has done a medical.

I reckon he would be a good fit at the Swans. Be with his brother /family for support.

Good luck for the kid.

That's why I reckon you could pursued the dogs to part with 14 for 2 of our next years second rounders, dogs don't need a first this year and would see the value in next years crop as you do.
