What angle would you have to be at taking a mark driving your studs into a person's back? It's a rare event, typically would only happen if the ball has virtually passed you overhead and your leaning backwards with a high chance of landing square on your back.Harry said:Why doesn't everyone do it then?

PS Greene outcome was a joke of the highest order.

What's stopping someone planting their studs into the back of an opppnent in front of him when going for a mark
Tigers of Old said:Can you imagine if Cotchin did it?
No neither can I.
tigerlove said:That was the argument of that RObinson (or whatever his name is) in the Sun. Said Greene was being targeted and there wouldn't have been any outrage if it was another player. Any other player wouldn't have even thought of doing that so the point is mute.

Got them in the chest area
Harry said:It's a rare occurance cos most players have the decency to not raise their studs into a players face in a contest. The fact it's rare is a ridiculous argument
tigerlove said:You've changed the context...lol....the original poster's comment was what would stop a player putting their studs into the middle of someone's back to take a mark, not their face. Again I don't know how you would go for a mark from behind but body mechanics suggest that you would elevate with a knee lift, not by trying to straighten your leg and lean back to get a stud into the back of the player. Maybe stay in context before accusing people of making ridiculous arguments.
