Yep. The lack of hysteria is incredible.

it is.

and the Wines exposes the stupidity of the weighting of the level of injury, just so dumb. Seems like intent doesn't matter much.

Should I trade Greene back into my Supercoach team or hold off on principle ?

What would have happened if Dalhaus was concussed from Greene's kick to the head? I would love to hear the media's take on it then - it would have to be at least a 4 week suspension based on Houli's precedent. Maybe more given Greene's record.

Why doesn't everyone do it then?
What angle would you have to be at taking a mark driving your studs into a person's back? It's a rare event, typically would only happen if the ball has virtually passed you overhead and your leaning backwards with a high chance of landing square on your back.

PS Greene outcome was a joke of the highest order.

Dalhaus should've stayed down, then the D!ckhead would be gone. as Spook said

Wa?

What's stopping someone planting their studs into the back of an opppnent in front of him when going for a mark

Dahlhaus should be rubbed out for assaulting Greenes boot, the most vicious attack on a players footwear I ever seen.
The MRP are getting soft.

Simon Madden caught the Sydaknee ruckman in the throat with a raised set of stops many years ago, near destroyed the other blokes larynx. Might have been a free kick at the time, memory's super vague going back that far. Pretty much accidental contact at the time, although there was a bit of media discussion over the incident. Nothing like the hysteria going on over this one.

HEADBUTT, usually worth a week or two Dahlhaus is a very lucky boy.

Mate I don't know how you go for your marks but I typically lead with my knee. Pretty difficult to take a mark with your leg straightened pointing the sole of your feet out at your opponent. When I played in my young days when you were allowed to use knees I can't remember ever getting studs in my back but plenty of knees.

Can you imagine if Cotchin did it?
No neither can I.

That was the argument of that RObinson (or whatever his name is) in the Sun. Said Greene was being targeted and there wouldn't have been any outrage if it was another player. Any other player wouldn't have even thought of doing that so the point is mute.

It's a rare occurance cos most players have the decency to not raise their studs into a players face in a contest. The fact it's rare is a ridiculous argument

I'm sure Greene put the studs up in a marking contest against one of either grimes or Astbury a few weeks ago.
Got them in the chest area

Broad. This should be a free kick.

You've changed the context...lol....the original poster's comment was what would stop a player putting their studs into the middle of someone's back to take a mark, not their face. Again I don't know how you would go for a mark from behind but body mechanics suggest that you would elevate with a knee lift, not by trying to straighten your leg and lean back to get a stud into the back of the player. Maybe stay in context before accusing people of making ridiculous arguments.

Not sure about your physical abilities but it's quite easy to raise your studs and shove someone in the back standing in front of you. Michael Long used to do it all the time.
