Newman's importance was highlighted tonight. We have absolutely no one else capable of kicking the ball in.

Waddya mean jb? He's just as bad as everyone else for kick ins. Anyway, it doesnt matter who kicks in, when you have no game plan from the kick in you could have Matty Scarlett there and still fail.

The person in charge of marketing our 2010 membership campaign should be put on suicide watch

never again what a rabble. claws well on the way to pissed again. when claw gets pissed he usually gets into trouble on site so i will just say rabble one more time and enjoy another whisky or 5 .

Re: Tigers vs Wc-Game day thread [Merged]

the team was a shambles tonight, but dont blame it all on rawlings tonight.
firstly the fault lies with wallet and co,
secondly our defence this year and tonight is pathetic, no doubt the worst in the league.
i could go on , but i am over it!!!!!

That's right. Darren Jarman would have had a 15% success rate.

We were a shambles tonight, but we beat them by pretty much the same margin over there last year - were we the young up and comers then, and they the worst ever?

BTW - Buckley, Cometti, McAvaney - like a knife in the guts listening to those blokes. I just kept thinking 2002 and 2003 Nathan, 2002 and 2003.
Totally agree, it was bad enough watching that sh#$e never mind having to listen to those three almost gloating on the tv. Yet when we play well their all over us :p P!** o%% idiots

Eagles young players don't stay skinny for very long, an area for us to improve in just to be competitive.

Who do you reckon other than Cogs and Browny?

Time will tell Rosy. I'm not sure about McMahon. He was rated as our second best player last night. In fact he only made one clanger, which was so obvious, it stood out. However, his kicking in after a point was excellent, right to a player and hitting them on the chest. Sometimes I think he is just a whipping boy for some. Certainly not our worst player last night.

Soft as butcher G and the only thing that will save him if we cannot get a trade will be his contract.

Claw, tell us about the rabble.

HT dont think anyone needs to explain about what we've seen this year, to many selfish players, not nough sheparding and blocking for ur team mates...hardwick said "a team first attitude" will be brought to the players thats what i want from our players, if u handball u block to allow an easier path for our players to get through traffic....

How many times did WC guys just brake our tackles, just waltzed through us....this preseason have em in the gym (bulk up for *smile* sake), run them to the ground (fitness) and have them tackling like they mean it....

Re: Tigers vs Wc-Game day thread [Merged]

Well done to thompson looked more comfortable out there last night than the week before, 15 posessions and used the ball quite well, in that 2nd qtr when we kicked 3 in a row thought thommo was instrumental in a lot of those plays, his kicking and handballing was pretty good....

Re: Tigers vs Wc-Game day thread [Merged]

Wasn't Matthews scathing in his commentary on TV? Rightly so - at times I thought he was almost laughing at our tackling attempts.

Yep, our kickins have been woeful the whole season. Cant blame the ones kicking in. They stand there for 20 seconds without any options up the ground. No wonder Newman then has to kick it 60 metres to a contest where it inevitably comes straight back at him.
