I'm looking at our list of guys who didn't play tonight
not much quality to pick

Believe it or not we are actually better than where we were 5 years ago. Under Frawley we lost our last 14 straight by an average margin of 55 points. We also lost 31 out of our last 36 with Frawley. And the list that Frawley left virtually had no players in the 20 to 25 year old age group.
We are still terrible but atleast we have some players in the 18 - 25 year old age group.

that's rubbish - if you look at the players that will remain on the list they in the main are a young group of highly talented players
Deledio, Cotchin, Tambling, Foley, Vickery, Riewoldt, Morton, McGuane, Collins and draft pick 3 are a pretty good group to build a team around.
We were well short of that when wallace started

Apalling finish to a disastrous year and 10-year era, first under Frawley/Beck and then Wallace/Miller/Casey. No one should ever forget how this once great club ended up where it did in 2009 and why. Crap playing list; horrendous recruiting history; practically no player development evident and dreadful coaching. Just a mess.
The lessons of the past must be learnt. We at least look like we're addressing things from a recruiting perspective and have a tough, hard new coach in Hardwick. But there's still much to be done. We must never again see this club at the depths we have seen tonight. Keep buying memberships but at the same time continue to demand meaningful change.
To see this club in 1980 and to see where it is now is heartbreaking. Has to rebuilt brick by brick and is going to be mighty hard. However the focus is now all on field and there has to zero tolerance in relation to all aspects. We can and will no longer tolerate any mistakes in recruiting, player development and performance. Anyway let the player clean-out continue, rebuild the list with at least 12 players this year and get a new support team in behind Hardwick and let's go again.

We were a shambles tonight, but we beat them by pretty much the same margin over there last year - were we the young up and comers then, and they the worst ever?
BTW - Buckley, Cometti, McAvaney - like a knife in the guts listening to those blokes. I just kept thinking 2002 and 2003 Nathan, 2002 and 2003.
