Tigers v Hawks game day

Our skill level has been the biggest issue. Kmac doesn't help there.
Our effort is our biggest issue (runnning & tackling)- skill is just a form issue - effort is never a form issue, it's attitude that is the number one issue.

Yes we looked slow from the start and that could be due to the boys doing a lot of distance running and medium pace rep. 200's etc. during iso. So their top speed is down but they can run out games which is a good place to be atm, provided they get a wriggle on soon to sharpen up by round 6-7 at the latest!

I can understand slow, I can understand issues after the long shut down, I'm not convinced we are running out games all that well.

But what really gets me at the moment is the lack of endeavour, the lack of hunger. They really are not switched on and this needs to improve . . . a lot.

No point sugar coating it we were never in the game besides junk time .Last 2 games poor starts have cost us big-time needs to be addressed.

We can debate newspaper bests till the cows come home but when if ever would all 5 have been defenders as the Sun writer wrote? And I wouldn't argue either ( I would add Cotch 6th on effort only)

We were nearly 50 points down and the hawks packed up shop much like we did against the blues. We essentially kicked junk time goals. It was a flogging.

I don't buy the shutting shop theory. The fact is, in the last, if Lynch kicks the blank range goal, Castagna takes the relatively simple mark 20 metres out, and there was another easy miss we're suddenly with 8 or 10 points with lots of time to go. They had 6 goals from frees. Last one was a complete joke. We had far more inside 50s, many more marks inside 50 that should have scored better and a very poor conversion rate. This alone is why the score different was so vast. They were not dominant anywhere statistically over us. The scoreboard definitely flattered them, not us. Don't get me wrong, Hawks deserved to win.

Besides any tactical and execution errors ,

I think there are too many guys that have gone into this season feeling comfortable and lacking hunger, its there to see in run chase tackle scenarios, the stuff that is built on desire more so than skill,

Premiership hangovers are real things and we have one

Nothing wrong with the back six, and Baker to come back in this week. Check.

Skills have been simply shocking. F50 entries appalling.

I'd get Kmac back on a wing, give Jack Graham a spell. There's a few that will be on their last chance this week.

Been thinking - Shai kicks that first set shot at goal and the vibe is different.
It sets a tone missing from 25 metres out directly in front in the first 2 minutes...

Absolutely
That was crucial and the classic two goal turnaround
And he simply should have got it too - a poor kick

One of my favourite movies.

The good, the bad & the ugly.

Brilliant movie and one of the most amazing scenes is the one in the cemetery. The music (Ecstacy of Gold) was composed before the scene was shot which is why the scene almost looks choreographed. Just a brilliant piece of film making.

Much better than the game last Thursday, no choreography at all from the Tiges :(
