Took 17's on Arcadia Queen in the 2019 cox plate today

Analysis of her KTC sectionals confirm that, winx excluded, only Hartnells turnbull win and Humidors Cox 2nd were better runs in the last 3 years. Yep, thats a barely 3yo filly running the 3rd best mortal race in the land in the last 3 years. She is the next big thing

Plus Winx's swan song will be the Queen Elizabeth and Autumn Sun will be in the rooting barn by August (suggested by both Waller and owners)

It will go to the Golden Eagle you'd think. $7.5M for 4 y.o's.

Sydney are doing their darndest to *smile* up Australian racing tradition. The Everest and The Eagle are the AFLX of racing. I hate them. What kind of culturleless greedy mother *smile* try to pinch market share off The Cox plate?

The owner said he won't run AQ in Melbourne unless the Vics change some sort of drug administering rule

The drug in question is called Regumate - it is designed to stop mares from being or feeling in season. Is banned in Victoria but not NSW - it has a tiny positive reading to a steroid, hence it is seen as performance enhancing. A good example is Aloisia which was so badly out of form in Victoria but when sent to NSW and treated legally with Regumate just ran 2nd in the Villiers on Saturday. This is a crazy situation which seems to be happening more regularly - Victoria v NSW - us v them. NSW just introduced a new race which is likely to compete with Cox Plate - there are plenty of gaps in the racing calendar, not sure why we can't co-ordinate these races to benefit the whole industry rather than trying to steal each others limelight.

We need a National Governing body for Racing to stop these narrow minded individuals looking after their own backyard to the detriment of the industry as a whole.

Just my 10c worth.

Good points, well made. Patrick Smith has been arguing the same. The thoroughbred industry never fails to miss an opportunity to screw up.

Time to try and get some cash for the Christmas Turkey.

I have 3 runners in the next 3 days. In my opinion their chances increase as each day goes.

Today at Seymour - Happily To Be - race 2 - maybe each way but would recommend a place bet - not sure of the quality of the opposition but the planets may align and she wins but would be a surprise.
Tomorrow at MV - Queen Leonora - race 7 - has drawn the carpark (Leysy should approve) and she is a go forward type horse so might get caught wide. To counter that, she has C Williams on so might not get caught wide. Each way at best - currently $6 which is a bit skinny. (late edit - she will be scratched, slight injury this morning and had to be treated, so no racing for her tomorrow night)
Saturday at Flemington - My Pendant - race 1 - perfect draw, any give in the track is a bonus. Should be hard to beat. The only query is the 60kgs but I think she has earned the weight from her very good last 2 wins.

All care, no responsibility. Bet responsibly!

I am glad you verbalised that emotion ET.

I would hardly like to visualise that!

More joy and we got Cape Wickham @ Newcastle.

Ho Ho Ho!

Happy days - one of my best at the races. My Pendant was excellent, does everything right. All went to script, good ride by C Williams. Fair to say he is a big rap for the horse. To win as she did with 60kgs was a great effort. Off to the paddock for a short break and then back for some black type in the autumn. Fun times ahead.

Going to watch the replay a few times and then follow up with the 2017 GF.

Go Tigers!

Off to The Valley for the first time today.

Any of you blokes own any fast horses there today?

Enjoy the Valley Easy. Can be significant track bias depends on rail, wind, sun, moon etc. etc. generally horses who win there keep winning there (and vice versa).
No specials from me - do like Our Luca in the last.

Do have 2 going around at Seymour tomorrow, both should just about win - assuming track is ok. Happily to Be (Race 2) and I'm Buxom (Race 4) both drawn well and should be hard to beat. No idea re odds at the moment so hopefully each way for HTB - I'm Buxom is a small field so will have go straight out.

As per usual, all care no responsiblity (but remember - the more you put on the more you get back, lol)

Good punting
