Heading out to CC tomorrow if any PREnders are going

youre living the dream JB.

your in the box seat with JV, best of luck.

I'll only be having a modest interest on The Cup this year. Its too hard. Humidor is a star, but often doesnt turn up. Bonneval is a star, but was lame a week ago. Ive got a funny feeling Marmelo runs a bold race.

Grande Rosso, JV and Foxplay. Gunna be a big day if the allsalute, or even one. If none salute then it is like every other time I go to the races.

yeah it'll be a pretty big night on the farm if Foxy salutes.

empty the mongrels bags :fing32

Cliffs Edge has put me back in the game, particularly after I jumped off Pinot the one prior. Got Assign at $5.50 so hopefully leader bias remains and can see off Samovare. Like others on Foxplay, Miss Rock (although lost as much have won on it now - still gotta back it) and Dixie Blossoms in Sydney for same reason - probably too short for it.

Happy punting all.

Didn't know it was raining at Caulfield. All dry up in the north.

Wheal Leisure for R5 before it scratched.

Wheels fell off pretty quick again. Fuhryk in the last salvaged a poor day again.

hopefully the bookies can suck my arse until summer.

or I can suck theirs.

Very disappointing run from Foxplay. She's not as good as I thought.

thats my spring done.

Foxplay just doesn't seem to have kicked on after its early promising runs. Tough day. Made worse by me forgetting to back the mrs jb's one instruction, the 13 in the CC.

Foxplay is a lot better with a bit of give in the ground.

easy, i wouldn't be sacking her just yet. Give her another chance, I'll be backing her when she is next on a soft track over a mile.

yeah i think your right. plus I reckon Winx knocked the *smile* out of her first up.

I'll give her one more go in the wet.

I feel like ive got form dyslexia. Pretty sure I spent all my insight/luck tickets through the footy season.

Which was worth it. ;D

Yeah Foxplay needs a couple of crucial things ticked off to be a conveyance for leysy's money.

1) Sting out of the track.

2) And more importantly her weight. She's a shetland pony thus doesn't carry it well. Needs to be down in weight, even if up in class it's a pre-requesite.

reasonable observations Leysy

I also didnt think she looked balanced at any stage cornering. A sydney horse perhaps?

At this rate, we might be lucky to back her ever again!

In Sydney, over a mile, on a wet track, carrying less than 55kg?

Im still reeling from the fiscal hit, but more so from the hit to my credibility.

I was convinced she was going to be a star/money press.

It seems I was wrong. Not alone at least, The owners knocked back an invite to the breeder's plate, all expenses paid. :p

You had me convinced on the horse, backed it for $100.
Oh well win some lose some.
Glad burning front from Tiger44 got me a win on the each/way

The moral of the story?

e,t is, for the most part, full of *smile*. and he overuses commas,

Kiwia came from well back but was only horse all day to do so.

Got my boy Urban Ruler first up at Geelong Wednesday, going well and drawn beautifully. D Oliver to pilot great each way bet.

Thanks for the heads up T44. Will look to recoup losses from Saturday.

Ah, shoulda remembered that, I bloody backed it! ;D

Also had a cheeky tenner on the Cup winner thanks to a tip. Paid $65!

Might be clutching at straws, but its wet on the farm and the tractor is in a good state of repair, so I watched some tapes from the weekend.

Foxplays run was by no means any good, but I can see a slight excuse. At the 300m, she takes a couple of strides that look like shes about to do her burst.

Then Sword of Light shifts out on to her and Shillaleigh (i think?) squishes her room from the outside. She stops, but seems to be motoring again in the final 100m.

She overcame much worse room restriction when she won the Pharlap, but it was on a sydney bog.

I will give her one more go in the Myer if the track is worse than dead.

Pinot's win was the run of the day for me. After 400m, I thought she'd finish last, she did so much work to get across and get the front, but she still had a good kick on the turn.

Think Marmelo's was the best Cup trial ive seen too. But single figure odds in The Cup are absurd.
