Thoroughbred racing

Criterion for me in the Cup tomorrow.

Might have a good thing running around in Adelaide tomorrow so keep a little bit to the side, will post again tomorrow if I get the "Load Up" call.

Reports from the stewards that there's a slow lane 10-14 metres from the fence. Inside bias again. Good track inside, soft from 10 metres out. Hopefuly it dries out.

I'll be on Fame Game, Trip to Paris and Max Dynamite. Have backed Almoonqith to be first Aussie-trained horse home.

If Criterion jumps ok he should get a good run, big query on the trip but I expect him to be in front in the straight, each way all day. Quinella with Fame Game and I'll put a few others in for the Trifecta. Good luck everyone.

I haven't been able to watch the first few races, how's the track playing? Are any of the horses making ground out wide?

Haven't seen all races, but from my uneducated eye, winners have been coming about 4 horses off the fence and none from worse than midfield thus far. Hopefully it evens out by the time of the Cup, with the traffic from the earlier races.

Hope this helps.

Well done Michelle. First female jockey to win the Cup.

Prince of Penzance came 2nd in the MV Cup and looked way over in the odds for today. Big money for those who won.

Had a gut feeling a roughy would win, had no idea which one and no idea it would be that rough.

the irony for me, I'm in a family spring carnival betting syndicate, I'm no expert but my brothers and old man are. Usually we narrow it down to 4-6 and we've done all right over the years. This year my brother said 'bloody 15 horses could win it', and one of the horses he drew a line through won it.

Liked Michelle's attitude, 'to those who reckon women aren't good enough, get stuffed'

Anyone know what happened to Red Cadeux ? He didn't finish and seemed to dip near the 300m mark not a good look for the old champ 5th time in the cup .

Hope the horse is ok. :'(

I usually go for the Roachy ,Jack horse number 8.
I think that horse came second.

Didn't bet though.

Fetlock on Red Cadeux being operated on.
Hopefully retires and can have a peaceful life from being smashed for gambling.

Uncle Buck should win the next in Adelaide, I've had a mini load up. If you have some spare $$$$, get on.

Scream machine, each way all day in the next at headquarters too.

Awesome cup day here! 5 bucks each way only because of the story, was going to have 10 on it but got cold feet ;D

$10 each way for me, nice little $1250 pick up plus $50 for 3rd place. Had 5 x $10 each way bets so net $1200 gain. ;D

and I wouldn't know one end of a horse from another ...

"They" are right, women riders are The Devil. But she got the job done today and for the time being, we'll just have to get stuffed.
