quaddies are weird like that

yeah. even if you take 3 fields and have the $1.20 fav in the last, youlle get three legs.

how many times did we get the first three legs with our $40 2 fields X 2 horses syndicate snakey?

I punt real simple these days. Tigers to win by overs or unders, thoroughbreds EW and red or black at the casina about once every second decade

Re: PRE Punters Club

I love the quaddie but take them expecting to do my cash. The one I missed on Saturday didn't fill the bank with cash but it certainly provided $35 worth of entertainment.
My silly brother in law sends me a text with his quaddie for Seymour on Sunday - he took 21 runners out of 38, for a measly 1%. And he missed.

TGW - I'm up for a punt some day on behalf of the Punters Club if you're still looking for participants.

Mate owns a share in Bring Me The Maid, winner of the Magic Night Stks. Just a battled who's scraped together a few dollars for his first horse and suddenly he's hobknobbing with the likes of Gau Waterhouse at Rosehill, and has a Slipper runner (provided she pulls up OK). She's making a few mistakes but doing it on raw ability at this stage. Blinkers are going straight on; can't afford to blow the start next time.

She's drawn barrier 5, with the two favorites drawn wide, I reckon she can run a good race.

Re: Melbourne Cup

Adamantium will be a big improver this week R8 Flem, owners enthusiastic about chances - one of KB's next door neighbor's horses. Also has Moriarty and Julienas in R2 Rosehill - both trainers happy (but Gai always is) with the horses. Julienas will run up front, Moriarty to sit just off the speed. Foreteller is in R6 Rosehill and they consider it good e/w. Trainer realises can't be expected to run 3 wide over 2400m WFA and win (refer last start -Ranvet). Looking to run further forward than usual tail end of the field. Happy punting.

Re: Melbourne Cup

Just spent some anxious time looking for this thread. Thought the PRE Punters Club might have been axed. Luckily my minimal knowledge of racing includes an awareness of the Melbourne Cup!

Anyway, more importantly, I'll be following the Golden Slipper tomorrow.....hopefully in a state of euphoria after a big Tiger win at Etihad.

My racing spy has given me a good omen bet: Sydney Race 8, no 5 "Cornrow"

"Cornrow will be ridden by Damien Oliver and should start about 15-1. It is up against hotpot favourite "Earthquake" and a very good wet tracker called Mossfun."

With rain forecast, I'll be putting $8 win R5 No5, Cornrow and $2 Quinella Race 8, 5 Cornrow and 10 Mossfun......I might just put some extra on a good name like Mossfun.

Happy Punting everyone!

Horrible about Nathan Berry.

A 23 year old jockey doesn't expect to have his life ended like that.

Yes terrible news, he had the world at his feet having won a contract to ride in Singapore. Condolences to his family.

Good luck happytige, good jockey, good trainer and a good run in the Blue Diamond with no luck last start.

Very sad. R.I.P. Nathan.

Very sad that another jump horse died at Warnambool yesterday too.

Good luck HT, we're due ;D

Cuz's horse Bec Said No Credit in the last at Flemington, 1400 which is interesting because she faded at the 100 over 1200 last start, but it was first up, trust in DW. I'll be having a little E/W, currently $9 and $1.80, up against RFC not KFCs Adamantium

Sorry folks, no luck! Should have put all the money on Mossfun.

It's been a bad day. Quite a trifecta....VFL Tigers, AFL Tigers and Cornrow in the Golden Slipper.

Adamantium put in a good run though, thanks RFC not KFC. Paid well for a place.

Good luck to the next punter.

Bad luck HT. I didnt punt yesterday, luckily. Im saving up for Lankan Ruppee In The TJ satdy. slightly reshuffled the punting order to accomodate some new punters. RT, our spiritual leader, is punting. His punter club experience should get us back in front. only need a 8-1 winner.

Bottom Line -$80

Sha Tin tonight r9 #1, well worth consideration.
I Had a sneaky $25 on the tigers at $6.50 on offer at half time yesterday, made losing even worse.

 bold punting. wouldnt have put gina rhineharts money on us at HT. Gianseracusa cunning stole your genius RFC. he played that ball superbly.

Talk about a weekend of close but no cigar. Went hard at Adamantium, but only on the nose. Backed the Tigers as 1/2 time. Today went into the last leg of quaddie at Wang live with 5 runners - no prize for 2nd & 3rd sadly. Once again though a $20 quaddie has provided a great afternoon.
Eye On You has been scratched tonight at Sha Tin so there goes the 'get out'.

I thought you were going to get the chocolates with 200 metres to go as Spacecraft doesn't win out of turn, the 6 kilo pull in the weights made all the difference.

Opportunity to get rich quick on satdy. In about 4 strides. The connections of Gordon Lord Byron have done us all a big favour. bring him out from Ireland. A miler. win the George Ryder after 100 days off and just when we all assumed hed step up to the Doncaster, they step back to the Tj Smith.

:headscratch

Thing is, theres money coming for him big time, and thats a good thing. cause Lankaan Ruppee might get out to $5, and in 4 strides, unleashed at the 200, he'll be home.
