Re: PRE Punters Club

wild 24 hrs punting. Mrs gw went to the big smoke for the weekend, leaving me and a stack of little GW's on the farm. I had a mittfull of bookies $, thanks to Tyrone and was feeling a bit liberated, naughty and guilty. farmed the little gws out to various sources and went to a mates for the arvo who has fox and the internet in a sound proof man cave. my mate is a real student of international form. a real student. anyways. Id handed back about 80% to the bookies before the george ryder when my mate declared Gordon Lord Byron a near certainty (@20-1). I looked at the form, 8-, I scratched my head :headscratch, took a deep breath  and said "have the lot, on the nose"

I then sent Mrs GW a text that read "just passed go, collected a fair bit more than $200, shout all your friends out for margueritas and a show"

im not guilty, or naughty anymore.

its a funny game. punting

Re: Melbourne Cup

Mate owns a share in Bring Me The Maid, winner of the Magic Night Stks. Just a battled who's scraped together a few dollars for his first horse and suddenly he's hobknobbing with the likes of Gau Waterhouse at Rosehill, and has a Slipper runner (provided she pulls up OK). She's making a few mistakes but doing it on raw ability at this stage. Blinkers are going straight on; can't afford to blow the start next time.

Good luck to your mate, i reckon the blinkers are a very good move she's a nice filly. London Lolly the horse she ran third to at the Valley blitzed them in a group 3 at Morphettville yesterday.

Sidestep is down in the weights and might be a smokey in the VRC Sprint Classic.

She's Archie one of my favourite horses who gave me a good collect in the 2003 Melbourne Cup has a daughter running in the Oaks tomorrow --------- May's Dream.
I reckon she will stay longer than a Mother in Law. I'm going to back her to win and take her in quinella's and trifecta's.

Both of the above horses that i had mentioned last spring carnival won yesterday, i wasn't on them

Re: PRE Punters Club

I had four runners for 11% of the quaddie going into the last at Rosehill yesterday. 3 faves - returning $2700 - $3100. One other returning $16,000+. Sadly I didn't have an Intimate Moment in the quaddie or after....

Bad luck mate, i don't know what it is with quaddies, quite often i can get the first three legs but struggle with last. They certainly don't make the last leg easy that's for sure.
