Thoroughbred racing

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

HartBalme's put the pressure on with the Cat.

There look to be a few put in take out jobs today. Chasm in Adelaide. The gun tassie filly Tempest Tost heads to Melbourne.

But we'll take on HartBalme head to head in the BTC cup.

On form leysy's not sure why the price discrepancy between the Cat & Swiss Ace, who's formline is exceptional.

So if its OK RT, leysy will go straight out on Swiss Ace in the same race. Its a true shootout. ;D

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Swiss Ace bet is on IAS Superbet

Hope its a deadheat..................RT

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Bad luck HB,

Did better than leysy's selection who put in his worst run in man starts. :help

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Bad luck fellas. Hopefully we'll all hit a golden tipping patch in the near future.

PRE PUNTERS CLUB

Appache Cat was very stiff - held up at a vital stage in the straight - bad luck Hartbalme - Swiss Ace ran a barry crocker which is right out of character - next time Leysy

Therefore this week we need a new Champion & Challenger.

Champion in the red corner - jimbler
Challenger in the blue corner - Rosy23

This week we have new comer jimbler up against the reigning champion of the last two years rosy(I hope the Rawillers are riding)23. There is some smart money being waged on the young new comer - this will be interesting........

PRE PUNTER OF THE YEAR 2009

The 2009 rules are -

1) Each Saturday we will have two (2) tipsters - one will be considered the champion the other the challenger.

2) Both the Champion and the Challenger will have $10 each to bet with and are allowed only 1 or 2 horses each Saturday to bet on eg. $10 Win on a horse or $10 Place on a horse or $5 win on 2 horses or $5 place on 2 horses or $5 x $5 on 1 horse;

3) Should your total collect be more than the total collect of your tipster opponent on the day you become the champion and you will be challenged the following Saturday by the next tipster on the list. Should both the Champion and the Challenger not gain a collect the next 2 tipsters on the list will become the champion and challenger for the following Saturday. (with the tipster who is the next in order becoming the champion and the challenger being the tipster next after him/her)

4) Selections can be at any Saturday metropolitan meeting in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide. (On weekends where there are Group races on the Monday or Sunday as well as or instead of the Saturday racing the PRE Punters in the chair can forgo the Saturday racing and bet on the Monday or Sunday). Please post your selections on this thread by 11.00am on the day of the races so it gives me time to find them and put them on.

5) All profits on your $10 bet (no matter how small) will be posted to Rosy's bank account to help with the admin costs of PRE

6) All bets are put on Remote Tigers Darwin Bookie IASbet.com hence there is no outlay by other members of the Punting Club.

7) A total of collects for each member will be maintained by Remote Tiger and the member with the largest total of collects by the last day of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival will be announced the PRE Punter of the year, 2009.

The order of betting for 2009 is -

1. Blood17 - return 0
2. mk33 - return 0
3. Red Sea Tiger - return 0
4. jb03 - return 0
5. Tiger44 - Return $27.40
6. Scottyturnerscurse - return 0
7. the claw - return 0
8. Hartbalm - return 0
9. Leysy Days - return 0
10. jimbler - Champion
11. Rosy - Challenger
12. Dyer'ere
13. Remote Tiger

Due to two tipsters betting each weekend (Champion and Challenger) we all should get more than two turns at tipping during the winter footy season and spring racing carnival.

IASbet.com provides for - a Superprice dividend guaranteed to be better than 2 of the three TABs and is generally better than all three or a fixed price or in some races Top Fluctuations. When you put your tips on PRE please advise which of the 3 betting types above you want (Superprice or Fixed Price or Top Fluctuation) Please note if betting for a place Superprice is the only option available. IT MAYBE THE DIFFERENCE IN YOU BECOMING NEXT WEEKS CHAMPION.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Thanks Remote. I haven't had a chance to look at the races for ages. I hope my lucky pin still works. ;D

Good luck jimbler. I hope you can bring a lot of beginners luck our way. :)

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Good luck Rosy. I should have my tip in around this time tomorrow night after I've had a chance to look at the form.

Careful jimbler - she might be lulling you into a false sense of insecurity....... :hihi

That's the least of my worries. I haven't been traveling too well on the punt lately, and my tips could probably stop a train. Anyway, I better get them in now because I forgot that we're going away for the weekend right after work, and I won't have access to a computer.

$5 win on the following thanks...

Doomben - Race 6 #17 Feline Flyer
Flemington - Race 5 #5 Augusta Proud

Sub - Doomben - Race 8 #2 Royal Discretion

Thanks, and good luck to all that are having a bet this weekend. :fing32

We're just good friends. ;D

I've backed Augusta Proud before but probably for different reasons. I reckon it's a great name.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

I haven't had a chance to check the horses out. I saw no Rawillers and thought :help :help :help

I'll go for Flemington Race 6 # 4 Ladies in Luck cos I like the name. I think the jockey is a really important factor in a 2 miler at Flemington and I don't know how Park shapes up in that regard, also my friend Blood hasn't selected it, so it's a risky bet. Anyway fingers crossed.

Think I'd better throw in another :help

Good luck to everyone having a bet today, especially jimbler.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Have been following Jana Piper in QLD lately. Always back her for a drum and also get an occasional long priced winner. Paid for my groceries and booze last week. Gotta love that!

Look at races on the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Last Sunday she had a ripper!

Rosy - do you want $5 each way or $10 a win?

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

PRE Punters CLub bets are -

For jimbler
$5 win Feline Flyer
$5 win Augusta Proud

for rosy23
$5 x $5 Ladies In Luck

Bets are on - the ladies in luck when the flying cat is proud of his course record at augusta............

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

To throw a couple out there, (hey claw where's yours) let's stay up in the warmth of the Doomben sun;

* Race 7 No. 1 Racing to Win
* Race 8 No. 14 Rightfully Yours

I like the tips from Rosy & Jimbler too, by the way. Could be a good tussle today !

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Bummer the race was a length or two too long for my Lady. Good effort just the same.

Bad luck Jimbler.

Oh well back the the drawing board. ..Better luck next week fellas.
