Think I would have been far happier if Trelol, TAB, n the other bloke had stayed at Colonwood so that the AFL salary cap investigators could run through them with a rather large dunny brush ( think Eddie musta figured his mob was entitled to some COLA benefits ).
Pity we couldn't see them stripped of match points n draft picks n massive fines for being cheating scum bags.

Guess I'll somehow just have to be content with the fact they've been forced to dump three players for *smile* all return n still have to pay a fair slice of Trelol's wages, plus the internal damage they've done to their trust n connectedness, plus the bonus fact we won our three flags while they choked on their miserably pathetic almost one.

A lot of criticism of Guy & the Pies salary cap but I still find the Pies complete silence during this period intriguing. Much of it is speculative, would love to be a fly on the wall of that club & find out what is really going on here.

Same. The club's silence to members especially. I wouldn't be so keen on throwing down $ on a membership with the disrespect that's been shown to those who pay up – their social media seems outraged.

How times have changed. All we have to worry about are a few hypotheticals about why Higgins is leaving.

Basically tried to sell it as a list regeneration strategy, played down the salary cap issues, said they felt they had come out in a good position with the draft picks they have.

Without being too harsh everything he said was complete nonsense and delivered in a manner that inspired no confidence.

And did he say the salary cap issues were no more than a few slips of the pen? Absurd if he thinks anyone will fall for that. Reckon the 'receiving' clubs would have stood firm like I believe the Dogs did and say; "We''ll offer the player you want to trade to us what WE think he's worth, not the ludicrous $$ you have him on. You're paying the balance. Take it or leave it!"

Be just crazy not to. Think it will come out if it hasn't already because the members of each club will want to know their club did not pay overs hampering their future signings.

Word is they are paying 300k a year for the privilege of trading a player, and 150 for TAB to go to norf........how would you feel if you’re a pies player and they sit you down and say let’s extend your contract.......fmd
