I was just looking through the photos of players and their partners, and I have to give Nick Maxwell credit for taking his Mum to the Brownlow.

That's nice to read. :hearton

Dustin Martin doesn't do speeches (B&F 2011 anyone?)...
Although wouldn't mind him giving the dont argue to bruce mcfairy.

I like to see punch-up between mcfairy and anthony hudson, mcfairy would probably win on points you couldn't miss that head.

Murphy won the coaches award from Judd. Swan equal 5th & Pendlebury 7th.
Cotchin finished 10th which is a great effort.

Murphy (Carlton) - 94
Judd (Carlton) - 90
Boyd (Western Bulldogs) - 87
Mitchell (Hawthorn) - 87
Ablett (Gold Coast) - 80
Swan (Collingwood) - 80
Pendlebury (Collingwood) - 79
Thompson (Adelaide) - 74
Wells (North Melbourne) - 73
Cotchin (Richmond) - 71 :D

The coaches awarded two Carlton players at the top? Don't tell me the AFL coaches are on the Visy payroll as well.

Ablett got 3 votes in a game that GC lost by over a hundred points. Surely someone from the opposition dominated that game more than Ablett.

More proof that the maggots should not vote for such a prestigious award.

Personally I reckon there should be more of it. I don't subscribe to the theory that the best player on the ground must almost always come from the winner of the game. Ablett dominated some games even when the team as a whole performed poorly.

Yes he did, when a player scores 160 odd supercoach points he's obviously had a day out.

Did anyone notice how Demetriou built it up everytime he called Dal Santo's name. Quietly, I reckon he might have had a few bob on Dal Santo to win. What not allowed?

I read somewhere that there is some sort of scrutineering of the votes going on before they get to Vlad and that by about halfway through the count he knows who is going to win and who is going to get close . I reckon he knew that Del Santo was going to make a run and wanted to build it up but it was a little obvious

they open them about 3-4 rounds ahead of where Vlad is so the TV can organise the graphics.

Murphy in front if Judd in the coaches votes. Interesting. Must be a mistake surely? Suprised golden child Judd didn't win by 5000 votes because apparently he's far and away the bes player to walk this Earth.

I am surprised all the coaches aren't begging to coach Carlton by the outcome of those votes.

Judd finished well ahead of Pendlebury in both the coach & player awards.
