Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

Only 4 letters in his name and 3 different ones. Easy to type it out in braile

Will be surprised if he finishes in the top 5. Had a great last 6 rounds but was having an average season until then. Played forward alot and best bag was 4 goals in the last game and kicked 3 three times. I think his last few games have made him over-priced for the medal.

Swans were winning though, even early in the year, and their team is so even across the 22 that the winner will still command 3 + 1 or 2 +1 as a general rule - and Goodes is still so visible even in an ordinary game - I think his shot is better that perhaps you might think as he doesn't have the visible competition.

Pendles, Swan and Thomas will split votes regularly. Judd, Murphy and occasionally Gibbs will split votes. Someone from Geelong could be a dark horse - a Chapman perhaps because of the even spread theory again. If Kelly's season had been a little more dominant he might even have come from nowhere.

I agree with Judd as favourite, but Murphy has had a much improved year.

:rofl :rofl

An being monosyllabic, Judd sounds remarkable like 'ruff' to a seeing eye dog. (though Roughhead could go close some year if an unpire has a dog with a stutter.

?? Swans were 4 wins and 3 losses and a draw after 8 games. O'Keefe and Kennedy were killing it early on and all the talk was about how inconsistently Goodes was playing. I'd be surprised actually if Goodes finishes above O'Keefe, O'Keefe had a very good year.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

If you really want an outsider to jump up and trump Judd & Goodes, its number 32 WCE, Andrew Embley.

Doesn't get enough contested ball to win it for mine. Had a good season though overall.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

My Top 3 are Tommy Hislop. Mitch Farmer & Dean Polo

Umpires love Goodes almost as much as they love Judd. The only players who've polled more votes in the past four years are Judd and Ablett. Goodes' b&f finishes: 4th, unplaced (not in top 10), 5th, 6th. Ablett's gone 1-2-1-2, Judd 6-1-1-1.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

If Judd won it last year and he has played even better this year it stands to reason he'll win it but wouldn't surprise me if he didn't, it's the umpires making the decision afterall.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

Judd hasn't had the best year (Pendlebury, Murphy, Ablett IMO) but he will probably will in it again.

Yes but the fact is Goodes has played mainly forward this year. And forwards don't poll as well.
