I would argue that he has played 8 pretty servicable games, 4 at the end of last year and 4 so far this year. He also is playing in a tough part of the ground , the centre. Good stuff Bling! Well played Bunji! :clap

I'm patient, and I'm not gonna chuck him on the scrap heap, but still, "serviceable" is such a nice word for a top 4 draft pick in his 4th year Vijay !

I think what we're all saying here is that this year is a defining one for him.

Pretty servicable > servicable. Hopefully the needle will push toward excellent before the year is out.

Anyway, wheres that poster who said Darwin kids have no skill? :hihi Checkside banana :hihi Daicos special from the pocket :hihi.

Go you good thing, Bling, Bling!!

You were talking about last year FFS get a grip.

How many years do you want me to say he got dropped FFS !

Are you actually encouraging me, or hoping to defeat you're own argument FFS ! ? Geez.

I'm no Tambling basher in fact i think people sometimes get impatient with the young guys because of certain 'freaks' like Franklin that come in and turn it on almost straight away. That sort of thing is not the norm.

Tambling has been a mixed bag in my eyes this year. He finished last year well and has looked good in the crunches this year in respect of knowing where to crumb at the stopage, but his ability to get a cleam possession away has been an issue in previous weeks - trying to spend it before he'd controlled it.

He looked good today and may have been helped by the open spaces. I think there's a massive upside to him and i think today was a flash of some really special footy we'll see from him hopefully sooner rather than later.

But i agree with Redford that at this point it's stretching it a bit to say he's arrived, but maybe his train is only one stop down the line.

He looks to have improved 100% since round one this year.

Had his quiet patches again yesterday but.

After an Inside 50 clanger, very much the norm for him, he went ballistic and fixed the thing. A later I50 was topnotch, his first such for this season.

I reckon his disposal was the best I've seen from him this year if still a bit patchy.

And at one stage I reckon he was intimidating the Freo midfield. I know it's only Freo but he was running away from the odd football only a month ago.

This bloke is finally playing with straight abandon and he's not just showing us what he can do - he's finding out or himself.

Tambling will make the grade as a wingman / forward in a properly structured side (like v. Freo AT LAST). Why he has been thrust into the middle in the past is beyond me ... what does he weigh, about 45kg?
He will cut up sides as a linkman, goal sneak - it is what he was designed to do.

Good post. I think he's STILL a work in progress, but it's certainly great to see him have a good game. Hopefully he keeps stringing them together.

I actually reckon he's been ok too this year so far Helen of Troy. But "outstanding" ? Hardly.

Robbie, this one is for you mate

Stick it up their ass tambo!!!!

Flick back a few pages and see what I wrote, Franklin, Griffen, Lewis (fat and undisciplined) look good in winning sides, lets see how good they play when the team goes down.

Er no....his form has been questioned whilst we've been losing...but all of a sudden he's a star when we win ? (Like you're suggesting ?)

Needs consistency. Nobody would argue with that.

Cant call Tambling a front runner this year. Played very well in the 2 losses we had this year and was hard at it when others seemed to go missing. Tambling is probably one of the last I would call a front runner at the moment.

Very good game yesterday...most important thing out of it for me is that from this he will get a heap of confidence. Best game of his career - perhaps that game will give him the confidence he needs. One thing i know from watching yesterday, is that when this kid backs himself he is something else!!

Deeks, Tabling is around 80kg, one of the highest weight versus height ratios at the Tigers. I think he's coming along fine in the middle.

18 possessions, 9 marks, 3 goals, I'm not exactly sure what people are wanting out of a player who has played 57 games (or under 3 seasons) of AFL footy.

Anyway I'm happy with his form and progress. Kepp it up Tambling.
