We are witnessing the formation of an authoritarian, fascist government folks. This is going to get very unfunny very soon.
There won't be any surprises, he's already said what he's going to do.
I feel for the American folk, but they need to go through this, it's the only way they'll learn.
A shame that there's no-one in the Republican Party with the balls to stand up to him.
Cmon, he is going to reduce the power of the "deep" state by kicking out bureaucrats and replacing them with his own hand picked "yes" people.
There have been in the past and it's been political suicide for them. You can't fight a madman with power.
Regardless of Democratic policy, how is a convicted felon allowed to become president? Can't do the following but president is aOK. This is how rooted the USofA is.
Throughout the United States, some of the general rights convicted felons lose are as follows, varying state by state:
Voting
Traveling abroad
The right to bear arms or own guns
Jury service
Employment in certain fields
Public social benefits and housing
Parental benefits

In the United States, state laws vary regarding whether convicted felons can run for office. In New York and Florida, felons are prohibited from holding many public offices unless they obtain a pardon or similar legal relief. Illinois also bars felons from municipal offices without a pardon. In Virginia, felons lose civil rights, including the right to run for office, unless restored by the governor. Georgia requires a pardon for felons convicted of crimes involving "moral turpitude" to hold office

Yep I agree with that, and those degree owners with very little knowledge are the ones more likely to have voted for Trump.
Funnily enough, I think they went through this same thing around 2016 to 2020. Then they said Yeah, Nah not sure we like this so we'll go back to the safe, warm, snuggly, security of what they'd had for many years before. Come 2024 they couldn't run back to the misogynist, authoritarianist quick enough, because they realised that safe, warm, n snuggly was more than happy to butt *smile* them at every opportunity.
They only got into power twice in recent years because of Old Mate Trumplestiltskin. Why would they then go against him? If it weren't for Trumplestiltskin the Publcan party would be nothing but an irrelevant shell of an opposition by now n the Dementeds party would be controlling the deterioration of everything U.S.A. by now. At least this way each party can blame the previous other party for everything that ails the Western world these days.
That's certainly the risk. All I took from the Deep State Eradication speech is that he's going to ensure that he ends up accountable to no one.
That's one way of looking at it. The other is that the Dems screwed up twice putting up a female candidate, not understanding the US aren't ready for that.
