Sydney Stack

Well they've probably cost someone their job.
Yes however that’s the bit that I think is totally unfair. Why should some employee through no fault of his/her own lose their job because of something they had no part of?
I would have thought the player salary cap would be more reasonable

Can’t get a takeaway meal in an Uber
Can’t go to strip club
Elite footballers don’t go and get drunk
3.23am eating Kababs , isn’t Elite
Sorry facts are facts
Club 100k gone
Yet another employee next year who won’t have a job
Left hub at 10.30 to get a kebab
Please spare me !!!

Our man the world famous kebab shop guy stated that Sydney was not drunk, fact.

Elite footballers do get drunk on occasion, fact.

Following on from the previous point, elite footballers can get hungry in the early hours of the morning, fact.

The kebab is a pretty solid option in those circumstances, fact

So were they at the strip club or outside at the Kebab shop as per Tom Browne ??, saying that CJ was set upon & Syd went to his aid.

are they are allowed out to get food / drink ?

No they're not that's why they call it a hub. Otherwise it would be called hub with a myriad of excuses for leaving the hub.

why does it have to come out of the soft cap? afl making up rules that make no sense

Were they at the strip club is the ??, reports saying they were at the kebab shop outside said joint

Why would you end up at a kebab shop outside the sleaziest part of the Gold Coast? Not acceptable behaviour. I think Stack has lost his chance. A rookie needs to be doing everything by the book.

Excuse my ignorance, but why does the fine have to come out of some sort of cap? So it carries more weight?

Totally agree but those are the rules that the club signed up for.

100% - the club might actually have no choice but to cut both.

in terms of trade value, we have just gone from 2 possivle 2nd rounders to 2 x 5th rounders, if that. Absolutely reemed us these 2 have.

If we felt like the AFL was out to get us, then these 2 dickheads just let themselves be the bait.
The club has a choice. Cut them or keep them. They're good kids who stuffed up. I'd be inclined to challenge them to earn back faith and trust, then re-sign them on unders if and when they do. But I'm not inside the four walls.

Has the AFL or RFC published what they. find occurred. The penalties imposed are without precedent. Members are entitled to know why.

Both are contracted till 2021. Im not cluey enough about the cap, but if we cut both do both their salaries for 2021 still be included in the cap? I know in the NBA it works like this, but unsure about the AFL.

If so, then basically both could likely go for next to nothing to a rebuilding team happy to wear the suspension while they tank.

Without knowing the full story its hard to make a real call. If one has lead the other astray - then that bloke goes, 100%. No Daniel Connors please.

Is it true that Stack was told not to go back to Perth when the season was postponed but went anyway and came back overweight and unfit?
IF it is and I've only read that on here then this is a second blown chance and it's beginning to look like a case of we maybe should have listened to all of the advice to steer clear.

The boys were stupid, but my god,37,500 fine when u already got hit with a pay cut.
Tigers will fight only the fine if it's on top of both boys contacts,so it actually should not effect our playing cap as I'm.almost certain our coaching soft cap has guys doing other jobs in the club which won't be counted in the softcap at all,one reason why we will keep more coach's than other clubs.

I would like to suggest it could, maaaybe, be the making of Sydney.

There is video of them sitting happily eating their kebabs when a drunk lout throws a haymaker, with some success, at CCJ, whose reaction is not to retaliate. Old mate goes again, CCJ falls over, Stack tries to subdue moron. If they broke curfew, fine them. But more than that is a massive over-reaction. Both of them did exactly what you want them to do in that situation.

Stack is rookie listed so I'd say he'd be on or close to minimum wage which I believe for a rookie is $85K plus match payments (halved this year as I understand due to COVID).
