Sydney Stack

Adam kingsley on Coaches Corner said Syd "hunts the ball as well as anyone and shows signs of a young Trent Cotchin going through the midfield'.

Let's hope his work rate and head space is right to continue down that path.

Seriously Adam, lets not start to compare a 10 gamer to a 2 X premiership captain.
Stack has a heap of hard work ahead of him to get anywhere near Cotchin.

There was one moment I think in the 1st quarter when he received the ball and he had 4 Brisbane players around him and was about to get tackled. No panicking he just released a player with a handball. I thought when I saw that the old stack was back.
Great composure.
The other thing to me is that he is a dry weather player, he loses confidence when he can’t one grab the ball

Stackman had a chunder in the 3rd qtr, then kept running.

hes a chunderer our stackman.

takes people off guard.

a touch of the ben cousins about him.

Hope he hasn’t the same off-field habits as Cuz...

Why not?
Plenty on here comparing Balta to a 5 time All Australian and best ever defender for the RFC.
Next you’ll be denying that Shai is the next Shane Edwards. Phhhhht

Im not comparing Balta to Rance.
Rance was a disaster when he first started.

Unbelievable that you missed another opportunity to remind us that Rance lost us the 2018 Preliminary Final again

I will never forget that night.
He threw the towel in...
5 minutes into the game. When Degoey slapped him twice.

He thought No Rance No Richmond.
In the words of Marky Williams
ALEX RANCE YOU WERE WRONG

Felt he played pretty well but was surprised that he only had 8 possessions (admittedly at 100% effectiveness).
Seemed to get a fair bit of midfield time but struggled to win the ball against the season Port mids. Still the experience will be good for him.
His touch is improving & he's very creative when he has the footy.
Reckon he'll keep his spot next week & got forward when Cotch comes back into the team.

Come on oldie, he spent the entire game on his knees.
This is a bloke that was like a cat 12 months ago.
Stack & Rioli look like they have lost a burst of speed.

Not sure what stacks brings to the side currently.

Agree.
He’s taken baby steps forward the last two weeks, against good opposition (partic tonight), and is getting closer to clicking into gear.
The Suns game is set up for him to relaunch his stalled season.

Not sure he is experienced or even good enough ATM to be in the middle in games like today.

8 possessions? Playing midfield? No wonder we got smashed in there. We had a few mids who hardly touched it.
