Still giving us nothing...'cept Cups and Medals

Ashley Brown from AFL.com.au was just on SEN with Andy Maher. Said that the team with the best injury list will win the GF.

Still giving us nothing ::)

Well hopefully he is right, we remain relatively injury free and win the Granny, I can live with that.

Yes so do I. But he also said this will be the year that the team with the best injury list, not the best list, wins the flag. Paying scant regard to the team that won the flag (and more games than anyone else) last year and has backed it up with a superb defence of that flag to win 16 games with only 2 games to go.

Still giving us nothing.

It's got to be hard for the media to generate some excitement and interest. I don't remember a time when a team was so far ahead of the pack.

It’s got nothing to do with the fact that our players work harder than the opposition or that we have an elite core group of players. The fact we won last years flag and dominated this year sitting clear on top. It’s just that we have had a lot going right for us. Pure luck. That is all it is. When Brisbane, Geelong or hawks were dominating, can’t remember anyone ever going on and on about they were only winning because they had no injuries and they had a lot go right for them.

Want to win this years flag purely and simply to shut them all up!!

The injury gods are random and colour-blind. We seem to have had some luck.
BUT...To have less injuries or less severe injuries also speaks to our fitness, our commitment to prepare properly, to our fitness staff, and our management of our players.

There is some luck in every premiership, but it's not all luck. The Club wins the flag, just as much as the team.

How about 2008?
Geelong went 21-1, finished four wins and 30% ahead of second, and lost the Grand Final.

And obviously the best sports and conditioning team to ensure we are not getting so many bulls hit injuries.
And obviously the most dedicated players who have done the work and no doubt followed the S&C team instructions to give themselves the best opportunity.
This all just sounds like the best bloody team and most professional unit to me.

There are never any guarantees. We were the dominant team in 1972 and in 1982. Lost both.

Enjoy the ride each week. That is all anyone can do.

Earlier on in the arvo, Big Nose I think and some other hack....consensus was DEAD LUCK. The only reason we are in the position we are in is LUCK. They were very blatant about it.

What's that old saying " The harder you work the luckier you get" or something like that.

They wont give us anything even if Chimpa is raising another Cup this September

No one rates us or they are overhyping us there is no middle ground.

Guy at work said to me the other day "You got lucky and pinched the flag last year just like Dogs did".

I then asked "why are we on top this year after having a much tougher draw if we were lucky "? ........................no comeback.

And yes he barracks for ................................................ LOLNORF !!

So now it's our fault that some of the other teams keep breaking their toys n don't have much left to play with, phhhht *smile* em. if they can't look after their *smile* properly that's there problem not ours.
#lolNorf haven't broken many of their toys this year so why aren't they up top next to us? Don't hear anyone moaning they should have finished at the bottom of the ladder if they'd copped their fair share of injuries. It's all about how brave n exciting n competitive they've been all year.

Don't give a *smile* what the media or opposition coaches want to dribble about,we've copped our years in hell n found our own way to climb out of the hole n up to the top. They can *smile* n moan all they like, I'm happy to keep winning n hopefully go back to back this year n if the miserable bastards still can't give us a modicum of respect after that. I hope we do it all again next year just to *smile* on their misery.

Nah, we only rummage around a bit n *smile* with their heads. All the broken toys are there own incompetence, poor management, *smile* luck. Nothing to do with us.

The Age podcast today essentially claims we are the best team by a mile.

Said tigers are snow white and then there will be seven dwarves

That's great, but there are a million waiting for us to stack it.

Doesn't matter how far we supposedly are in front of the rest. Only takes one bad day and it all turns to *smile*.

See 2008 grand final.
