Steve Morris F/S

The energetic and frenetic manner in which Morris goes about the business on the field it would be no wonder his body feels banged-up at times.

I get tired and sore just watching him play.

Super performance. Kept probably the most dangerous bloke on earth to 7 touches, and most of those were under pressure. Sensational game, it matters not what he did with the pill or whether he even got it. All he has to do is shut-down his opposite number and he's winning.

Awesome game on Rioli keeping him to only 6 touches with no real influence in the game.

Scary thing for opposition teams is that Morris can play even better.

I still don't think hes right, lost some pace I reckon, and not going like the kamikaze he is, nursing an injury I reckon.

Well played Steve morris, toweled up rioli and world him like a glove.

I also liked how he ran to the opposite end to hand out his footy. He was the only Richmond player who bothered (not that I blame them, they were probably knackered) but it shows that he is a great club man and appreciates the loyal supporters.

Took Cyril to the cleaners. No red headed stepchild has ever copped a beating as bad as Cyril did today.

He held Rioli all day, but gee, some of his 1%'s were just brilliant. He really stood up early in that 1st qtr when the Hawks forward line put us under heaps of pressure.

Was critical for us today, because we would not have had a plan B if Rioli had got loose.

Linking handpass to cotch was costly. Timely reminder to make every possession count.

Didn't ruin what was a great game.

Morris had an awesome game against the Lions - played very well defensively and got plenty of the ball himself.

Kicked a great goal too.

Totally agree. He had a great game yesterday. Besides his usual defensive tenacity he gave us great drive as well.

Looks like he has managed a slight form slump and is back to his ferocious and reliable best
