Steve Morris F/S

I've seen it a few times tonight Morris gets sucked into where the ball is at and looses his man, great if he kills the contest but tonight its cost us 2 goals

Great play by Morris and we goal
Yet again Morris throws himself in a pack COURAGE

Wasn't horrible but would've rather Batchelor as another cool head.

Morris saved maybe 1 or 2 goals by killing contests but his overcommitment at times to the contest lead to extra numbers out of the back and easy goals for Carlton so that good play was cancelled out.

cost us more then 2 goals, besides his good smother he spend half the night ball watching.
i hate players that like going to there knees to get the ball, he spent all night on his knees.
not impressed!

All criticisms are spot on but praise must come for his courage and has some grunt about him. Work with the coaches to learn more about minding your man and he may be able to keep his spot.

As well as he did tonight he was recruited to play on and stop the likes Betts kicking goals. That clearly didn't work tonight

If it was Betts he was playing on, he only kicked 2 for the game. I would have taken that at the start of the night.

yeah no worries Mr AFL. ::)

Tried hard but well beaten tonight. From what I could tell, he played on both Betts and Garlett at different times.

No rebound from him. He was being played as a stopper but was too loose.

Needs to keep an eye on the ball and keep his feet as he overcommitted to the man a few times tonight and Carlton were away.

Hopefully better for the experience.

I'd persist as I think he'll work hard and learn quick.

Plenty there to work with but maybe a little overawed at times tonight.

Boy - he wasn't Robinson Crusoe in that department.

How many shots on goal or attacking moves was he involved in? Morris was rarely close to Betts, so much so that in the end Dimma was forced to play Grimes and even Rance on him at times! Dont get me wrong i loved his attack on the ball but he needs to be more accountable.

We were lucky though that Betts missed at least 2 very gettable set shots that he would normally gobble up.

Morris was far from our worst....hard for a first gamer to step into that backline when more experienced players are fumbling and coughing the ball up around him.

Good to see him get into the game more in the 2nd half.

Has a bit to learn but his upside has him as a lock for me in the back pocket.

some supporters on here are hilarious. it was his first game in the AFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my god give him some bloody time. Playing in front of 80,000 in a high intensity afl match with a heap of expectation is not easy.
