So I watched the tape. Previously I though Steve was a terrible forward but an okayish back pocket..... I was wrong.

Wish the selection committee would come to their collective sense.

Yep always seems to pick the wrong option as to whether to go to the contest or stay with his man and generally ends up in no mans land and his man gets away and kicks goals. Garlett must have loved lining up on Morris.

2 years ago I said that Morris bled goals and that he would be less damaging if away from the opposition goals - many disagreed.
Then Hardwick trains him as a forward (I could understand this based on the above) and many said this was ridiculous. Must play back they cried.
Cue this year and finally I thought Hardwick had seen that Steve was good at neither.
But no, back in after a couple of VFL games only to be embarrassed again down back last night.
Cannot play again. Can't keep going back here. We will never get that elusive 11th cup if we continue to accept subpar. I care no more if we upset a players feelings.

And this guy is in our LEADERSHIP group!!!!!!

Hahahahaha. Only at Richmond do you name a bottom 6 (on your list) player in the leadership group. Would bleed for the club, which is fantastic, but really needs to be concentrating on being effective.

so are Chaplin and MAric.

All 3 aren't even in our best 22

Are you saying Hampson is now better than Maric? Evo, say it ain't so.

I would disagree about Maric. He maybe in the twilight of his career but currently is our only ruckman so he has to be in our best 22 if only as a ruckman. There is nothing on our list that remotely matches him ATM.

We have no ruckman in our best 22
But hey, with the recruiting / list management aren't concerned then it's ok.

General both Morris & Chaplin were replaced in the leadership group for this year by Rance & ShEdwards.
Cotchin, Maric & Lids are the others.

Well yeah.
How many years have we been saying this for now?

Yes, even the club has had to admit it (but still extended Moro's contract for another 2 years) by picking up Hunt for this role. So Hunt is the alternative!

I cannot decide who is worse. When I see one play, I think it's the other. Then I see him play, and I cannot understand how I could think so.

But we also drafted Castagna which also bears out that they know this is such a deficiency. But they must be thinking he is not ready yet, or perhaps he is too attacking, never going to be a lock-down type.

Whatever, it must be time to blood George and let him find his feet at AFL. The other two get a hiding and leak goals, so what more is there to lose now?

On page 1 of this thread, a young Steve Morris was compared to Paul Puopolo.

On current form, and looking at Poppy's 5 match winning goals last weekend, never in form Morris is not fit to tie Puopolo's bootlaces.

what ever happened to this guy?

Actually thought he was good in his first year. Hard running, attacking. What happened? Hardwicks coaching.

Come on Harry. Even you can't be serious in blaming Morris' shitness on Hardwick's coaching.

Been plenty of one year wonders who quickly get found out. Hes just another one.

Too many players have gone backwards for it to be a coincidence. Morris has his limitations but his instincts to run and attack have been completely dulled down from his first year. Look at the first instincts of our players now and you can see they are hesitant and confused. You hesitate for a split second and you're gone. Players are hesitant out of sync confused its a mess. I know you like to blame the players but when our best players in cotch and dusty start to look like c graders then you need to think about the overall system they are trying to ply their trade in.
