Song/Albums that stir the emotions

Been a while since I contributed to this thread.

Here's a few songs that I've been listening to lately.

Are there any other old farts like me going to see Steely Dan in a few weeks?

No TOT70.

Love too though..

Great band.

Saved my bickies for Roger Waters.

Anyone remember this tune that was the theme to an Aussie show?

When I was a kid, my next door neighbour invited me over and played this song in his Toyota Hiace van :hihi which was decked out with an audiophile stereo system.
Sounded amazing.

He had the vinyl.

I since found the cd in a bargain bin.

Best purchase.

And this jazz standard The Tiger Rag.

The main motif of The Tiger Rag has lyrics "HOLD THAT TIGER!"

The Buddy Rich Big Band from the album,The Roar Of '74.

Maybe Buddy was a Richmond supporter.

I'd never heard of Bobby Darin (bit before my time) but this is a great rendition of this song. Pick it up from about 35 secs..

Now that's talent.

I'd heard of him but never really knew anything by him until i watched Beyond the Sea with Kevin 'I'm not gay' Spacey. Great and varied performer, I bought his greatest hits CD afterwards.

I get into all sorts of different genres of music. Love my metal, (especially my metal!) blues, tech, 80's, soul, funk, 70's progression, pretty much, well.....anything good. I love this thread. Would like to add this little gem from one of my favourite bands

Great 37:15 trailer for Neil Young fans. What starts of as a jam session segues into Cortez the Killer. Grab yourself an indulgent 3/4 hour and enjoy!

Thanks you very much. It's buffering too much for me so I'v e got the volume muted while it loads ready for me to listen to later tonight.

I've been searching everywhere for my Everyone Knows This Is Nowhere cd the last few days. Really hanging out to listen to Cowgirl In The Sand. I might have to dig out the lp to listen to instead. I've possibly given someone the cd to listen to and not got it back. Must replace it.
