Song/Albums that stir the emotions

Yeah I heard it on RRR this morning. It made a long drive very easy.

They played it on RRR? Awesome. He's back recording with Crazy Horse for the first time in over 10 years, They've done 1 album and are probably doing a 2nd.

The jam starts off as a jam around *smile* Up then segues into Cortez.

He's also got a youtube channel with some nice videos on it. Its at:

Not sure about that. I listen to Jjj too and from work and am yet to hear it on the radio. I only found it because I was looking for Gotye's new album which is due next month.

I now notice the song has exploded on the back of Ashton Kutcher tweeting it.

Will win the hottest 100 next Oz day.

Pat on the back for me, picked that pretty early

Love The Black Keys. Brothers is a brilliant album. Aural sex, eargasm, call it what you will. Enjoy.

Didn't think they could top Brother but I think El Camino might have done it. Had no idea Lonely Boy would come second in the JJJ top 100.

TD if you haven't done it before pull out all stops to see them live.

Has anyone heard Van Halen's new song? I suspect a bogan station like MMM would be playing it? Just interested to see what they serve up nearly thirty years since they last recorded with David Lee Roth.

Robert Wyatt from the 1974 album Rock Bottom.

Blows me away every time.

Mantissa, aka Killing Time

Def Fx who are actually doing a reunion tour this year, 1 off show at The Corner

Tumbleweed, Sundial

Those songs remind me of a time in my life when things were simple, slightly out of control and seriously fun!

I loved the 90s.

A fav gig of mine was at The POW.

Juice,The Truth,Scarymother,Def Rhyme.

Here's a Def Rhyme track from their album.

I htink they pretty much disappeared after that same with Scarymother after their album.

So sad.
Scarymother were incredible.

I saw Mantissa at the Espy back room,Gerschwin Room?

Gf wants to go to DefFx.

Might join her for a bit of old fun.

Get on the Blundestones or Doc Martins and Miller shirt LMAO.

All that 90's stuff reminds me of going to the beach or bushwalking for some reason.

P.S. Juice reformed in 2010.The drummer is killer Lucius Borich,I think Keven Borich's son who went onto play for the band Cog.

Here is a youtube of their 2010 reunion gig.

I tear up everytime I hear this.

Saw Roger waters for the 2nd time last night.

Scored a ticket at The Corner.

Was going to The Victory game but concerts like these come around once in a lifetime.

Apparently there was a section of Aussie war vets at the show and they met and greeted him at the intermission.

A Floyd golden oldie.

It seems I'm the only one who think Pink Floyd are massively over-rated. Can't stand them at all.

That's why we are all different.

And a stubborn species as well.

Have no problems with that.

There are metal fans and rap fans.

Be a boring world if everyone loved one style of music.

Sally MacLennane - The Pogues

At First Sight - The Stems. My wedding song

A Little Ray of Sunshine - Axiom. Remember hearing this when my wife was pregnant with our first, a daughter. Still brings a lump to the throat

Currently loving City with no children by Arcade Fire.

I had their album The Suburbs for a year and listened to it about 5 times, and couldnt work out why it got the hype it did. One day a month or so it finally clicked for me, now I play the album through once a day at work (I have my iPod playing at my desk). Amazing album and probably in my top 20 all time list.

Anyone else into them?

The Pretender - Jackson Browne
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Jungle Land - Springsteen
Wings of an Eagle - Russell Morris
Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams

edit: I just thought of one more I hope people will enjoy. The theme from Lost (TV Series) "Life & Death"

Anything by Joshua Radin stirs emotions for me. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I love all his songs.

Amazing show.

Probably the best I've ever seen.

Over the years, there's been a few threads with this or a similar title.

On a slight tangent, there is one song arguably thought to be the perfect 'pop' song.

It was written in New York in 1965 and is based on a Bach minuet, I believe.

I hope you enjoy it.
