Maybe for her genre. She sounded OK for this type of song by placing some emotion in her tone.

While Richmond were churning out premierships in the early 70s,Zappa was churning out amazing performances.

I know this is not a song/album but this is Zappa live at his peak.

Here's a bit of music trivia.

Zappa's early drummer Aynsley Dunbar was wanted by Jimmy Page for his supergroup Led Zeppelin instead of Bonham and Jimi Hendrix wanted him for the experience instead of Mitch Mitchell.

Zappa was persistent and got his man.
