Hampson may be big and can tap ruck with the occasional one going to the Tigers but is unable to clunk a mark or work at ground level so brings nothing more to the Team than say an inexperienced Soldo. Not the present or future for the Tigers

Agree - what we need is another mobile tall forward that can kick goals - not a ruck who does little else

I'm no fan of his ruckwork or ground play, bit his contested marking last year was better than Nank has given us.

You better check your temperature, Bill. Fever?

Please tell me it isn't so they guy is a complete dud his career stats are disgraceful id rather loose with Soldo because where not going to win with this guy

Neither cHampson nor Soldo will give us much more than tapwork.

cHampy will fumble some marks while iVan 2.0 will be bodied out of marking contests entirely or outmarked by smaller opponents.

iVan 2.0 has been going at about 50% game time. The Hampervan should be fit enough to provide that by September.

Brace yourselves for impact.

I think Nank is a better mark, but Hammer's marking has definitely improved.

Agree. Hammer has improved but you're just never confident of him taking a grab even when not under much pressure. Nanks was taking a lot of contested marks early in the season but for some reason that has dropped off of late.

Actually took two contested grabs I think in a half against Geelong. Way more mobile that Soldo and has a little more game awareness than Soldoman at this stage. If he can run out a game bring him in. Definitely an upfrade.

Had 4 that game. As I said he has improved. In first two seasons for the Tigers he had 6 contested marks in 15 games. Last year he had 27 in 20 games and that was after having 0 contested marks in the first 4 of 5 games in 2016.

He was contesting really well in the square after tap late last year too. I get the doubts but he will have a week on Griff and is much more mobile and more of a footballer than Soldo.

Hampy may take a mark or 2 in the forward line, but his biggest problem is kicking through big sticks.

If the Hamster's back we don't need Casboult

He kicked 5.4 in one of his best seasons in 2016. But once kicked 15.4 in his 2nd last season at the Blooos in 2012. It might depend on how much ruck-work he does, so how fatigued he gets. Did a huge amount in 2016.

Doubt he will ever be getting a heap of shots in today's game, but, hypothetically, he'd be sharing a lighter ruck load with Nank around. Maybe could clunk a few more grabs. He's not a long or penetrating kick, but accuracy isn't terrible.

Hampson was one of the biggest reasons the team finished 13th last year.

If we want to sabotage our finals campaign he would be a good inclusion.

Yep. We've got Soldo for that.

Soldo is a young kid and while not doing much is playing a role. I doubt he is in the team that runs out for the finals so moot point.

However, he's clearly not hurting the team and playing within his limitations.

Compare to Hampson who is a direct negative impact, constantly fumbling, tapping directly to opposition players, bowling our own players over, etc. An athlete with very little body control or football IQ.

Hampson as an inclusion in the team for finals would make me shudder.
Would prefer to include Graham, Townsend or Moore, even Short, before Hampson.

Slight problem were looking to replace Soldo for the finals none of the players you mention are tall enough to ruck

I understand your point, 01 ... yet, I would prefer that neither Soldo or Hampson played in the finals. Believe they would be distinct liabilities to the effort required.
Nankervis is going to have to shoulder the load pretty much solo come September (fingers crossed regarding injury).
The Tigers are going to have to be very inventive come the finals ... there are a number of deficiencies across the team, yet it might well be possible to play deeper into September than possibly thought if the Tigers' brains trust can weave and create some magic that instills supreme belief in the playing group.
If the Tigers are to be some sort of challenge and threat in September then the team structure is, to a degree, going to require flexibility and adaptability to various situations and scenarios.
