Well, excuse us if we let the club medical experts, plus the man himself, make up his own mind aside from the profound judgement of someone of your undoubted knowledge and esteemed name in AFL medical annals.

I think it was the club who decided on his contract deal ... or he held a shotgun to their heads?

As usual the club held the shotgun to it's own head and then ended up shooting itself in the foot.

Heard many of your workplace colleagues say the same about you, especially after the LTI.
What are you talking about grandpa Simpson?

Yep, hopefully will pull the pin, even when fit a complete waste of space as a footballer. I feel dirty using the words footballer for this guy.

I have been vocal with my opinions about Shaun' shortcomings as an AFL footballer but any decision to retire or carry on in AFL is for him, his family and the club to decide. What I will say is he has played at AFL level which is more than can be said for all us posters

But ...you don't have to have played the game to have an opinion. Just like you don't have to have been a chef to have an opinion on a meal.

An apt summary of most of your 2016 posts, I'd say. Hence much less to say this year.
But here's an astute one from Chop-Suey, June 1, 2017:

"Yep the only concern is Nank going down. We appear to have no viable option."

:clap

Not a Simpson fan so not sure what you're on about, but I acknowledge that watching this cartoon program without any ability to process coherently, probably represents the peak intellectual attainment for some individuals.

As for relevance ... looks like you missed it altogether.

So not being able to distinguish singular from plural makes you feel dirty?

OK, at your age, fair enough.

Pity. leon, about The Simpsons. It seems you not only under-rate but misunderstand this animated production. A most wonderful animated portrayal of pretty much us all ... such pithy and acute insights into all things societal, cultural, political, behavioural and, of course, just the simple day-to-day humdrum of life, etc.
Stands right alongside Seinfeld as some of the greatest television ever produced, in my humble opinion.
It could be suggested that peak intellectual attainment is arrived at when one understands the layered nuances, symbolism and messages contained within the imagery and narrative of The Simpsons.

Only seasons 1-6 though!

Shake your fist at that cloud Grandpa!

If you read what i had said i used the word footballer twice.

Whats great about this site is that were all RFC diehards and there is an abundance of opinion, unfortunately some think theirs is above others and others are here just to discuss and enjoy, takes all kinds, including grammar police who like to argue, me, not that keen on it, suggest you don't refer to peoples age without any knowledge as it's petty and really reflects on your point/argument/discussion..

Anyhow carry on

I actually really feel for Hammer. He's been plagued by injury throughout his career.
Hopefully the club works out an agreement at years end and he retires so we open the spot on our list.

Yep, enough is enough. 98 games in 11 seasons (24 games with us in 3 seasons). I'd love to know how many he's missed through injury in 11 seasons.

Definition of insanity and all that jazz.

Is contracted for 2018 and with Maric retiring, Hampson is probably needed for next year. Reasonably confident that with a few more games under his belt Soldo will be the preferred 2nd ruckman ahead of Hampson.

Not quite sure what your point is, Leon.

Champion Data rates Hampson's injury as the 5th most costly in the league (someone less charitable could query whether it has been costly to us or our opponents but i think that would be cruel).
I think Hampson served us well last year but i am in the camp that hopes he retires and we find another ruck to compete with or back up Nank.
