Hampy out injured. If he's not stinking it up on the field he's sitting on the sidelines injured.

On track to play 80odd games in his 10 seasons. His best was 15 games in 2009!

So average 8 games a season to go with an ave of 3 kicks a game, 4 handballs and 2 marks a game.

Worst. Recruit. Ever!

Mason Cox the big American takes to the game he only discovered less than 2 years ago better than Hampy has after playing at the elite level for 10 years.

I didn't see that match, but watching Max Gawn clunk everything in sight was a vivid reminder that cHampson will never reach anything like the level we should expect from a ruckman.

Am I the only one that thinks the Hamster would have been a better option than iVan on Sunday?

Did OK for a first game, the big fella. Let's see how he goes this week with the ball not coming in quite so easily.

Same thought occurred to me early on, Maric was Ivan the Terrible. But as he does, kept chugging on and warmed into it. Saturday v Lobbe will give a better indication as to how much he's got left.

He is certainly up there.
Carlton must be glad we're stupid.
Helping them to rebuild their list with our draft picks

Probably not the most relevant thread. But related to our lack of ruck stocks.

What's the progress of Ivan Soldo? Obviously a long term prospect and project player. But anyone whom watches the 2nds able to tell us, does he look to have the aptitude to eventually make it? Or very unlikely? He's obviously a monster of a man, but you need more than that.

And the other long term project, Cholly? At this stage as far as I've read, showing most aptitude as a forward. Does he show any potential to do a significant amount of ruck work? Obviously at 198cm a little shorter than most modern rucks, but his leap would make up for it somewhat.

He trained with us among a number of clubs, right? Yet another one who would've been handy to land.

He's the same height as Sandilands, but way better below his knees. Wouldn't be surprised if he turns out well.

I've just had a look at chollys highlights on the tiger site.
I know the opposition was frankston but he's showing decent agility, awareness, mobility... And he's sooooo tall and he's got that leap, and he can play.

yep, whilst young and a little raw/light on we would potentially get a much larger return putting 40 games into him then putting 40 games in Hampson, who has a shocking record in not being able to get through a game unscathed.

Would be pretty embarrassing for some players if Chol was able to come in and succeed within the same gameplan that others are struggling under.

plus the fact that to get 40 games into Hampy would take, on average, 5 seasons.

I have this image of him leading a marching band. Dimma twirling the mace. :)
