Was good. A lot saying his best game for us, it wasn't. While he hasn't set the world on fire he has played one or two better games and has played a few decent ones. But doesn't fit the narrative.

Disagree. Clearly his best game for us and on a quality opponent. When has he played better?

Hampson to have a blinder today, 39 tap outs, 2 goals and 3 votes. And tomorrow I'm getting the no.16 on the back of my guernsey! Get on the hampson bandwagon!!!
I was close. 34 hit outs, 1 goal and maybe only 2 votes? I believe it's called the hampervan!! Get around him!!

Can't remember the game, but he shocked everyone last year when he played a blinder and took 8 or 9 marks. Also there was another game when he beat Mummy. Ther has been a few. Nowhere near enough, but a few. It just annoys me, sure he has underperformed and hasn't been much good, but your average dullard poster just pipes in with 'total dud never done nothing' hyperbole.

God I hate Hampson. I hate him even more now I've got to say I thought he played well.

But like the game he played well last year, I bet you he comes out next week and stinks it up again

playing better than giffiths and tyrone right now,,,,*smile* even chaplin was better as a forward today than griff and vikery

hammers played to very impressive games in row...with a few stinking rotten mistakes....but i think his been surprisingly good....hope he gets a whole run of games..maybe theres something in the clumsy hoofer after all....

Hampstein. That was goldstein like yesterday
Confidence. Play him all year. Maric is finished.

Hmmm, he's had surgery on both ankles n carrying a couple of kgs of strapping on a shank, hobbling his way through all games so far. Played bugger all senior footy last year n stunk most of it up, coming of a very low base n pretty ordinary against Carlscum, But. He improved against Colonwood n was at the worst fairly decent against the Crowbaits.
Maybe the Hampervan just had a bit of a flat battery, needed a decent push start to get rolling. If he hasn't injured something n just needs a bit of rehab then he'll be picked for Wet Coke, no way we could park him n push the Eevan up to Perth off just half a magoos game.

The 10 year non acheiver plays a half decent game and the Tiger gullible think "yeah, maybe he's not that bad after all, maybe he,ll come good"

Give it time.

I haven't seen any posts saying anything approaching that.

Out of contract at the end of the year, playing for his career. We recruited him because he had the tools, just needs to play with this new-found determination.

If he pulls up OK, I'd play him this week given Maric got pantsed by NicNat last year.

I copped a bit of ridicule for suggesting he was more important to us than Ivan. Of course he is.

One of the best for us yesterday. The problem is what happens when Ivan's fit? Playing the two of them in the same side is a high risk option. Hampson needs to produce that sort of performance on a regular basis and consistency is not something he's noted for, but I do hope he's turned a corner.
