Shane Edwards

I have always had high hopes for Titch. With 5 more kg's through his core and upper body there's no reason why he can't be our Daniel Kerr (not saying he will be as good as him but he has all the tools). People have to keep reminding themselves he's only 20, same with Jack Riewoldt.

He needs Kerr's attitude though. That will not be easy to develop. I love the way Kerr plays the game. Full bore, hard and direct.

True, very true.

Mmm, Kerr was great in a great team with Judd and Cuz next to him. Without them he has not performed to the same level; struggling with tags and form.

I think Titch is more outside than Kerr, more like Pearce of Port. But a continued injection of confidence is all important for him.

Extra 5 kgs and Titch looks like a top 10 draft pick

This guy has some dash. IMO his disposal was initially the worry but it seems also that his decision making on when to dispose is a worry. I've lost count of the number of times he's got the ball, made a mad dash, run into trouble and turned the ball over. If he could just master that intangible ability of knowing when to get rid of it .......

but with the record of player development of the RFC it's probably unlikely.

has improved dramatically since wallace left, but needs to hit the gym and the hot dog diet, so he can break those tackles he always tries to break. rance is a huge concern, that awkward running style is a worry and his release of the footy both from hand and foot are deplorable

I cooled on Titch slightly in the latter half of the year but was interested last night that Bruce had him as 'almost our best'.

FWIW I checked his output at the same age as Bling and it is virtually identical.

I agree totally. But not the worst player on our list. KEEP HIM.

He is always prepared to take the game on and create something.
That is more brave than taking the easier sideways or backwards option.
Sometimes it doesn't work. Hopefully as time goes on his strike rate will improve - and I reckon it has improved this year already.

Come on Claw, a little credit where it is due. There is no doubt that young Edwards has found something in recent times and his game looks more composed. If he keeps developing, we might have a decent player here.
okay hes been better and some aspects of his game are pleasing. still believe hes a poor kick and still think he needs at least 7 kg.
at the start of the yr totally wrote him off. at this stage would not be upset if they kept him. personally i would be shopping him around for someone who can kick properly. i ask again how many ordinary kiks can you have.

Disagree. I think Shane is a very good kick but needs people presenting, which didn't happen last night until Jaaack was moved forward again.

IMO Shane has shown enough recently to be kept on.
There are others that should be delisted well before Shane.

Felt he was one of the few shining lights last night. Mind you in such an insipid performance, it wouldn't have been hard.

Agree.
Improving. He has shown enough to keep next year.
